Then I dig a little hole with my hands , plant, and cover with a top dress of 3cm of compost. I then top dress that with a couple hand fulls of soy bean meal for a good nitrogen source where the mulch meets the soil. I use straw as a mulch on the top of the mound because it takes top dressings later in the season better. Easier for them to be watered into the soil.

Then some large tomato cages and flat rocks laid out to keep the birds from digging. They love to dig at my mounds for all the critters given a chance. They are actually the worst pest I deal with.
Plants are showing a little droop and not reaching for the sky from a bit of transplant shock. My grow bags had stayed moist at the bottom and roots were growing through, so they took a bit of damage.

They are growing 2-4cm a day now, but still not quite settled in to their new homes. Explosive growth will be coming soon.

Well they're starting to get settled in to their new homes. Growing 4-5cm a day now so starting to move along. You can still see though that the roots haven't really spread out yet a whole lot. The plants are still a little narrow and are just starting to go wider than their old rootball. Once they break that barrier they will really start to grow wide as well as tall.

The Cream Caramel gets that purple color on the top every night and then goes green again during the day. It's even been pretty warm, 30 in the day and just below 20 at night.

Well they're established and working with the soil now. Gave them a top dress of malted barley the other day and a shot of compost tea this morning. Weather hasn't been amazing but they don't seem to care.
Cream Caramel is the smallest at 58cm. You can see the purple tips this morning. They typically go green during the day and purple at night.

Red Mandarin 60cm as well. Nice looking plant but the only red tones it has shown so far was when it was a seedling. We will have to wait and see.

Psicodelecia coming in at 75cm. Has pretty big semi wide leaves with heavily exaggerated serrations. Shows the Sativa trait mildly of droopy long leaf tops following the sun. Not the best photos to depict it, but it's there.
Has an interesting aroma. Definitely the plant I am most curious about.
The runt Pheno I culled is still growing in the 12L grow bag. It has grown out of it's runt stage and quite different looking. Very Sativa like. I will have to get a picture of it later.

Funny I hadn't looked at the other Psicodelecia in the last few days. The leaves are now filling out wider like the one I planted. Still a little thinner and has a bit of a sativa look to her. But the 2 Phenos are seeming a little more similar now.
Giving her to a friend for a new home tonight so will be interesting to check on her in the future.

They're going crazy. Low 40 degree temps the last week. Will get some good photos in a few days but here is a couple teasers.

Well they are already getting really big, biggest I have grown at this time of year going back through my records. Every year just gets better and better with the no till. I have yet to find the ceiling. Blows away what I could do with commercial fertilizers in the old days.
July 5th and over a month of veg left to go before the stretch.
Cream Mandarin now the shortest at 154cm

Psicodelecia, my favorite so far. Really shows some nice sativa dominant traits with the classic being it is very photoropic. Beautiful strong smell and a whopping 195cm tall.
