Hi foomar m8, lovely grow m8. Glad to hear you like her, they will be even better on the second run ( genetic maturity is benefitial for anything with aussie genes in it, so the second run is usualy even better ).
Just wondering what your thoughts are on the flavor and type of high/stone?
    Tyvm again m8

Hi moon , will be feeding a little with the clones , a touch more nitrogen in veg and a dash of pK in mid flower , needs little above base nutes from the results of test.

Two cuts just gone into a mates hydro , he pushes them to the limit with CO2 and satanic AN stuff in 20+ expensive bottles and spends hours measuring out potions , should be an interesting comparison to my very basic room.

Wonderful smell to the buds , like a fresh fruity NL mixed with cough medicine , when crumbled could be mistaken for a diesel cross , flavour is deep fruit/medicinal with a good aftertaste , definate hint of orange from one plant , unusual mix of heavy terpenes in a short flowering cross.

Looks mean more than they should around here , these happen to look stunning but would be keepers even if they looked like shit when cured.

High is very sativa , almost headrush , much more body effect than expected soon sets in and a good balance , more long lasting than other C99x have grown.

Been playing with stacking software , not sure that i like the results , different to the eye but both expressions smoke very similar.

Hi foomar m8, firstly tyvm for the feedback m8, it is invluable and helps steer us in the right direction, many heads are better than just the don and I's opinions and reactions to the line , it brings us closer to the goal.
Love your work and skills m8 and ty again

Thanks moon , these two are real yielders in subsequent runs and very cute , replaceing several C99x locally and stable to date.

The male is proveing of interest , a couple of Geisha x MBS testers are very dark in veg , not seen this before.

Hi m8, lovely pics. Glad to hear they are performing well. They should breed pretty dominent for certain traits in outcrosses reguardless of the variability in the mbs1 line. These traits are include dark colouration, high resin content, long length of effect, terpene profiles, and strutcture. Will be making the mbs2 soon as well as a backcross (mbs1 male x zc f2 fem3)
Good to see a line with 25%c99 in origional genetic make up competes well with 50% c99 crosses.
The 50% zoidfuel in the make up give it the unique terpene terpenoid profiles, aswell as the high effect and length of high. Zf influences this line heavily, but it does it from behind the scenes and in subtle ways if that makes any sence lol.
Anyways enough of my rambling lol, ty again m8

Thanks moon , not sure if the leaf colouration is genetic or cold induced micro nutrient defficiency.
Yield is very high whatever the cause and they sure look pretty , these three were revegged from late flower and chop day clones , no male structures found and minimal whorling , sign of good stability and worth crossing out.

Only plants ever seen with this bright distinctive leaf colour from early flower , looks cute but very strong , as with the blackberry the mites are much less invasive on the dark leaves whilst savageing surrounding green plants.

The first cross on this plant with a very dark BG male produced huge seeds with a particularly thick and hard shell indoors , looks like an MBS trait given the males previous results.

                    Beautiful picture there foomar ,,,
interesting what you mention about mites preferring the green leaf plants to the darker ones .

Hi Donald , have been seriously studying spider mites for two years , keeping a colony alive isolated in the shed , infecting test plants and noteing their movement , habits and reproductive cycles and testing assorted remedies and chemicals.

The mites breed and spread at around half the speed on a very dark plant , with minimal significant damage to the crop compared to that on its green sister.

Thanks lost , black and yellow makes a nice contrast , looks like a swarm of giant wasps in the corner , keeper grade regardless of looks.

the compounds linked with purpling in most plants seem to have the effect of slowing down infestations,, and increasing growth rates in cold climes,, whether its anthocyanins or what im not sure,,

Thanks moonunit , the seed from an MBS x Geisha test cross are huge in comparison to usual , 5+ mm thick shelled beauties , might need abradeing to pop.
