About a week left for this one but a cracking smoke even if taken now , headrush eye candy at this stage but much better left to mature.

All the dark F2,s so far have had a distinct leaf margin and leaf aspect ratio , could spot the genetic dark expressions after a week in flower if this holds true , usefull if it is consistant but growing them all out anyway.

The green heavy yielders are the ones most would grow , just have a thing for cute plants as i spend a lot of time with them , yield not that important.

Room is filling up with the batch of Antipodes girls , some nice variations comeing out , all past mid flower and no intersex expressed.

Most are green like these two , upcurled leaf edges on some and minor variation in leaf form , similar odour on all.

One purple one , could pass for the mother but with MBS terpene mix at this stage.

This one is unique so far , probably a minor expression , a lot of Deep Chunk showing and an acid smell , most trichomes of the batch if you look close and take the extensive underleaf coverage into account.

Leaves are so dense and large on this one that it takes up twice the space , other expressions pack in tight with overlapping fan stems and are sogging well in two litres with pots touching.

Fifty four plants under a 600 with some additional twenty week hazes trained up the backwall , lit area is 10 x 6 feet , against all conventional wisdom they are happy enougth as long as they are moved and turned every day , and have one in three under the sweet spot.

Antipodes are looking great foomar ,
always a fan of that curled up leaf trait , very prominant in deep chunk , but ive also noticed it on some c99 ..
sure looks like a nice cross foomar , and dont doubt it will look even nicer as the harvest comes closer ..
haze up the walls hey ,, hehe looks like youve got all the meds for the head sorted man , good form ...

Thanks Donald , they certainly show promise and one seems to be the reason for the cross , the dark girl has strong colours and an MBS odour , significantly higher yield than the mother.

This was the only one topped , due to a rampageing kitten atack in veg and it cloned well , the mother is sometimes a little difficult.

The green ones have a more citrus smell , every one distinct , one is the strongest real grapefruit odour i have ever found includeing within grapefruit crosses.

None of the eight males of disparate origins have managed to dominate the blackberry genetic colour traits in any cross so far , all that colour go very dark and the greens stay green , no half measures , flavours usually dominated by the male parental line.

            Cuter by the day .

Getting in close you can see the trichome stems starting to fill with purple.

Hope this is a predator mite.

Quite a vibrant green , low 50.s dark temps now and no colour or yellowing yet , keeping the roots warm from the veg cabinet underneath is working.

Popped five more F2,s now at nine days , the bottom right just potted up is going to be a monster as they all broke soil the same day , record growth rate in this setup at five nodes.

Thanks NE_GROWER , thats actually an Antipodes but an original dark MBS looked as good at the chop.

The trichome stem colour seems to be a Blackberry marker trait , the genetic colour extends across all surfaces and structures even in a hot room.

Dry sift from the mother looks like crushed purple pills , bit of a burnt rubber aftertaste that the MBS should improve , other males have worked well.

If you dont make some F2,s of the MBS you will probably regret it when you start to smoke the bud , thankfully they reveg well and can be resurrected.
Very easy to clone a week into flower right up to chop day , nothing fussy with these and an easy grow.

A local nutcase is running eight original MBS green clones under a 400 on a 14/10 light cycle , he has no problems in mid flower but i would not mess around like this myself to shave a few days off an already acceptable flowertime.

Set the timer for 13/11 once by mistake and everything was fine for at least six months till i noticed , but two hours is really pushing your luck.

They really do root well , this F2 is an 8 inch sideshoot taken three weeks into flower , all seven days or less to this stage.

On these bigger cuts have been cutting at 45 deg as usual then dipping in rooting powder and punching it into the stem with a blade tip or that nasty looking device , seems to consistantly improve amount and spread of roots.

Room is looking its best now , gap between mites dieing off and mildew starting , everythings really healthy while it lasts.

This one has the look of the mother.

everything is lookin sick foomar. of course your the one growing them, so you already know that hahaha.

im diggin the idea of using that little tool to poke some rooting powder into the clones. i love how those roots are poppin out all over, not just near the bottom of the cut. do you do your clones in an aero cloner?

Thanks farmdalefurr , simple bubbler dialed in for temp , a bit of damage seems to help if not taken too far.

This is a bit of an oddity so far from the Antipodes cross , very indica in form and very fast , only normal cold temp shades starting on this one.

The true blackberry colour trait is showing on this one now , these might make up one in four of the girls , true dark males are expected to be much lower in frequency if the previous crosses are representative , only three in a hundred and fifty BG males to date.

This expression was flagged in early veg based on leaf and stem detail from the Black Geisha equivalent , some of that data seems to cross over to this cross , dark expressions could be sorted out at five nodes if desired.

Still looking just like the mother , last flush of pistills should turn gold soon , definately MBS smell .

Rancid socks is like a breath of fresh air after handling the chem cross next to her , our cat will risk death to get to the sweetest bud but runs a mile from that rotting meat stench.

This is as far as a bellows setup will go with standard lense type , need to play around with lighting and maybe resort to flash but it shows the red stems and heads in a blurry kind of way.

Not as scary as it might first look to be.
