    Copper Chem grow zone

So there seems to be little by way of info floating around about copper chem on ic. So maybe this thread will be of some use to people looking to see what she is all about. I started with 6 beans, 5 popped, 4 are ladies and one is a male. Fast forward 4 weeks of veg and just starting g 4th week of bloom. I've currently got 4 ladies growing in my aerotable. The 4x4 aerotable is in a 5x9 tent with a 630w de cmh light over them running at 700w. Lots of other plants going in the table as well. The aerotable is a diy setup consisting of a flood and drain table with a low pressure pump and ez cloner sprayers screwed into a PVC pipe manifold, and it's a recirculating setup. Temps in tent are stable and so is rez temps.

So into the ladies. Two of them are considerably taller than the other two. Both short and tall phenos have long internode spacing and look to be plants that will make golf ball style mugs instead of colas. The ladies are stinky, but not super loud yet. The male was pulled from the aerotable about a week ago. He was transplanted to a 2x4 tent with a hyperfan and carbon filter. This tent is setup to keep him and his pollen contained. He stinks, his bud structure looks ok, and I plan on using him to make some crosses with. The list of potential mates include hulk smash, c99, orange glue, purple kush, and tangerine kush. All of the ladies have been documented in the grows in my signature of anyone is interested.

This thread will be open to all to post pics and information to all things copper chem! Pics of all stages of growth both male and female plants are welcome here. Breeding projects, results of those projects, and opinions of them are encoraged! I'll post pics of my babies when I get home. Let's see what ya got

Those males are breeding gold. I have some pollen in the fridge, just waiting for the right female. I'll be watching to see what you get. Buddy of mine found some killer plants in this line.

Week 4 and pollen has been chucked. Hulk smash #10 and copper chem #4 both were hand pollinated. I am expecting some open pollination seeds as well. No scientific pollinating here. I like mother nature having a say in things. Here's the lucky ladies!

Looks like the male has some potential. He is putting out alot more pollen than I thought he would! I can only imagine what would have happened if he was kept in dwc... as it is he has surpassed my initial expectations.

Day 33 of bloom with copper chems. #3 is putting out an interesting aroma. She has a gym sock/rye bread sour funk with hints of lime citrus. I have a feeling she will be reasonably loud once done. Resin production is finally kicking in this week as well. If anyone has grown copper chem, would ya mind letting me know how long she averages to finish bloom?

So I had to cull copper chem #1. She went hermie. It was a tall pheno that reeked of very sour fresh cut grapefruit. The good news is cooper chem #5 smells identical to it and is just shorter and quite fluffy (think loose sativa buds). I've got a feeling that they will make some rather terpy shatter! The two other phenos both have better bud structure that is denser, with a sweet chemical astringent lemon smell. All of them are quite frosty with greasy resin. What aromas is everyone else getting?

Oh the occasional hermie isn't the end of the world. I've pulled some killer cuts out of some unstable genetics. I was looking for a nice representation of the chem line and so far I'm not disappointed.

Welcome aboard skunkfunk! Keep us posted on how your copper chem does. I'm seeing some diversity among my 3 ladies. Here's the tallest and heaviest pheno. She has a sweet funk with a hint of lemon citrus.

Dam, $150.00... that kinda sucks cause just the other day they had them on the reverse auction and I saw them under $50.00... I was thinking about grabbing a pack for that price...

You must have gotten them right at the beginning of the reverse auction cause that’s the price they start at...!!!... you just gotta try and wait it out. See if you can get them as low as possible without someone else scooping them up first...
