Definitely give it a try brother! I'm not trying to hijack Achimia's thread but I wanted to chime in and say this is WAY easier than you'd think. If you keep everything clean it's really hard to screw this up -- not implying you'd screw it up I'm just saying that's one of the few factors that actually matter.

Dude you are so right, mycology is all about sterile tools and propagation equipment..i grew thai cubes in my room when i was a late teens kid, they fucked me up so much the mighty ducks film was freaking me out, i had to retreat to the darkness of my hoody.

I've never grown mushrooms myself, but I've always heard hygiene is crucial!! One of my workmates is growing some of them now, we'll be soon publishing an article/tutorial on how to do it properly.

...if you're in the US you should do a search for the shroomery, a forum dedicated to hallucinogenic's where you can find vendors/sponsors that can provide you with all the supplies you'll need to grow you some shrooms.

...i have my first batch going about a week after innoculation and my spores were shipped from Tenn. btw.
