Since the arrival of Golden Tiger more than a decade ago, many growers have contacted us requesting a version of this devastating sativa hybrid with stronger Thai influence.

To achieve this, we have introduced the new and excellent Thai Chiang Mai (Thai sativa that had not been used in the previous breeding of Golden Tiger, and that is producing excellent results in all the breeding projects in which it is being involved) into the breeding with Malawi, producing a new, third version of Golden Tiger (Thai/Malawi) as a result, where the influence of the Thai genetics dominates over Malawi.

This translates into a more cerebral, cleaner high and less heavy body effects within the trippy and devastating psychoactivity of these extremely potent sativas from Malawi and Thailand. The greater Thai influence also implies less dense floral structures and slightly longer flowering times, although this 3rd version continues to offer the usual extreme effects and yields of our Golden Tiger.

HIGH: Extreme effect of psychedelic sativa: dense, stimulant and very long lasting, with more cerebral, cleaner and less heavy body effects than our classic Golden Tiger. It may be devastating for beginners. Recommended only for the harder and most experienced sativa users.

GROWING TIPS

It can be grown indoors with strong light intensity and with enough space for its development.
We recommend to switch her into flowering after 15 days from seed, or starting from clones rooted for at least 7 days. We recommend 11 (light)/13 (darkness) photoperiod for the flowering indoors, in order to boost the flowering, and to avoid reflowerings or excessive stretching in early flowering.

Very suitable for SOG crops due to its great yield in the main cola, or for SCROG, horizontal or network growing due to its excellent yield in the lateral branches and its vigorous reaction to pruning.
Outdoors, it is especially suitable for outdoor cultivation in tropical or subtropical climates, although it can be cultivated with very good results in warm coastal climates of mild autumn (similar to the Mediterranean) up to latitudes close to 43º.

We recommend low-moderate levels of nutrients (especially of nitrogen) for the whole cycle, and slightly higher amounts of PK at the peak of floral production in mid-flowering.

First Golden Tiger version was only available in regular format, and it was a F1 hybrid: Old Malawi Killer pollinated by Meao/Hmong male from Cannabiogen.

Second (and most successful and widespread) Golden Tiger version is a polyhybrid that contains Koh Chang Thai, Meao/Hmong Thai, Old Malawi Killer and New Malawi Killer parental plants.

This third Golden Tiger version is also a F1 and uses a new third Thai, and it's Thai Chiang Mai x Malawi 3rd generation male for the regular version, and Thai Chiang Mai x Old Malawi Killer (reversed) for the feminized version.

on the product page, it mentions that it can be grown indoors with good light.

look around here in ace subforum, you'll see many tropical sativa landraces and crosses grown indoors. u also will find good help if something goes wrong. the ppl round here are purty smart.

Yes, sativa hybrids of strong tropical profile work best under the sun in sunny climates where the flowering takes place with constant warm temperatures, although we have bred many good sativa hybrids like Zamaldelica, Golden Tiger, Malawi x Panama, Thai Chi, etc ... which perform perfectly indoors with enough skills, space and proper strong light intensity, and that's also the case of this release.

The first Golden Tiger version you mention had a flowering time of approx 3 months, and not 4.

My GT3.0 sprouted over the weekend. She shares about 80l fresh notillmix with a ka5hz, a smh and 2 clones(trainwreck and amnesia core). Hope i can switch to bloom in 2 weeks. Curiose how she will turn out. Got the center spot direct under the light but the others had 10-7 days longer to spread their roots.

Golden Tiger 3rd version (Thai Chiang Mai x Malawi Killer) is a true F1 hybrid so the outcome is quite uniform and Thai dominant, as described in the official strain description,
it's more uniform and with lesser Malawi influence than our Golden Tiger 2.0 available since 2014.
