I just saw a news clip about medical cannabis and he was like "not in my town." He's degenerate and an alcoholic.

The political clans and elite families always seem to select the dumbest guy for mayor - Mayor Menino was so dumb I'm not sure he could even read and write. He never had any papers or pens, etc, with him at meetings and pressers.

Likewise with this guy. As said above, he is a confirmed drunk and drug addict. He's basically a whore for the police, fire and other public unions.

Most likely what's going to happen is that he will be the only major public figure to oppose the legalization referendum. The City of Boston will approve legalization by 70% or more. The city government will continue to oppose it and prevent stores from opening for many years to come.

But Lynn is only a couple T-stops away, and the mayor has already said he wants to explore this industry. Eastern Mass. is very compact, other more willing towns and cities will embrace the trade, and buyers will take their dollars elsewhere.

PS - this is an old thread. in case people don't know - Walsh has agreed to lead the anti-legalization campaign this fall. No one else would do it!

I know this is another old thread(nothing new in the mass section when there should be news all surrounding question 4 and the people behind it and how hempfest went... What was said.... If the campaign got more people to register to vote, the bs Walsh, Baker, and the campaign for a drunk and crappy Massachusetts I mean for a safe and healthy massachusetts and how they headline boldface lies in the globe and only allow misinformation and lies to counter the movement. Baker wants to expand bar licencing and allow for MORE bars to open here but is extremely against legalization of a harmless plant. It's sickening. Our lawmakers and politicians are way behind the times and mass looks progressive as it was the first state to allow gay marriage well it only looks that way the people general public are way ahead of the politiciams as far as what's correct. We only have decriminalization and a horrible medical system where even now dispensaries are being held back based on more BS. Now they have gotten people to believe the gateway drug theory that's been debunked officially by the attorney general amongst other things like the horrors they saw in Colorado and lies brought back from that trip. Last I checked it it's now 50/50 on question 4 passing and they've collected and used over 2 million in the campaign to Baker and walshes safe and healthy I think only collecting 300,000ish. It's sad.

If it does pass it'll be a long time before anything changes here we can't get dispensaries open let alone a retail store or club whatever. We have what... 6 now? Pathetic.

thanks for the trip down memory lane Joe! Look at that fucking guy! He once said his favorite hobby was shopping for ice cream.

Looks like Marty Walsh may not be able hold off the feds. They've already indicted 2 of his top aides for criminal extortion and they're likely headed to jail. He's been recorded on a federal wiretap extorting money from developers, he must have paid tons of cash to the feds to avoid indictment thus far.

Yes, the Boston Globe and Herald passionately hate the cannabis community. The Globe prefers its booze and runs regular "Sips" and "Bottles" columns on how to get drunk.

But the City Council president Michelle Wu and Councilor Tito Jackson are in favor of legalization, and they're ready to take over the mayor's job if he gets indicted. State Senate president Stan Rosenberg is in favor of legalization, and we have dozen of legislators that either support it or have co-sponsored a legalization bill. Congressman Seth Moulton just came out in favor of legalization.

Don't forget, the media was completely against decrim and medical, and we set records for highest victory margin with decrim referendum. The latest poll has us winning by 13 points:

Just make sure all your friends and family in Mass. and Maine vote this year and we'll rock election day

I saw a map of MA a few months ago with the towns that enacted moratoriums shaded.

Meanwhile I've heard about a few locations in the Greater Boston area where there are dispensaries planned.
