Debunking the old fashioned Gateway theory with the power of science

Greetings and glad tidings.

Found a couple interesting articles today that were shared via Linkedin community. I thought they needed spreading further and further.

First up we have a fresh post from https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33509417/ Official citation:
Mennis J, Stahler GJ, Mason MJ. Treatment admissions for opioids, cocaine, and methamphetamines among adolescents and emerging adults after legalization of recreational marijuana. J Subst Abuse Treat. 2021 Mar;122:108228. doi: 10.1016/j.jsat.2020.108228. Epub 2020 Dec 3. PMID: 33509417.
Here we can explore the findings of the experts where Denver, Washington and a Non recreational State have been compared and contrasted and put under scientific analysis to assess any risks to teens and developing young adults. Spoiler alert!!! The show that the Gateway Theory is not supported... :jump:

Next discovery again was from a post off of the linkedin Canna business pages and a much larger study the recreational marijuana legalization area teen use of herb, tobacco and alcohol.
As the data spans 1999 to 2017 we can again find the panel of experts researched more than 1 million pieces of data and again came to the conclusion that herb use among teens if anything went down as they were in legal states. They show if anything the interest in e-cigarettes to teens. It is articles like these that I feel will be important to share with parents of teens and those concerned about the outcome of legalization. It would be marvelous if school teachers, social workers, school doctors etc become educated in such matters and learn to educate themselves before stigmatizing the minds of teens by the defunct propaganda of the war on drugs preached to them and their generation.
Here is the article from the Journal of Adolescent healthhttps://www.jahonline.org/article/S1054-139X(20)30633-9/fulltext
