Yogurt Cup Grow Contest
Round 7; 2015

This contest is open to ALL icmag members; there are NO restrictions at all on environment / equipment / method, only the container size. (The primary rule being that roots must remain entirely inside yogurt cup at all times). The true purpose of the contest in my eyes is to drive participation & cooperation on the site and bring members together in a spirit of sharing knowledge and experiences of growing in tiny containers.

RULES
Read Closely

1) All contestants must use an individual serving food container, generally yogurt (labeled as 6 oz serving size here in the states, or 150 to 180 grams for Europe and most everywhere else) of any shape or brand (these will generally have a maximum volume of 250 mL).
250 milliliters maximum volume is the official size limit. No substitutions/transplants (plants must remain in original container throughout the contest). Keep the original label on there, and show it in a photo if you plan on covering it later.

2) All contestants will use a clone, seed, or seedling of any Cannabis variety, male or female. Please specify strain/hybrid/breeder lineage in as much detail as possible (or even if it's a bag seed; tell what kind of herb was it in the bag the seed came from).

3) Contestants can enter up to 5 "yogurt cup plants" (one plant per cup), and will choose the best one to be judged.

4) Seedlings may be germinated or not at the time of entry; Clones maybe rooted or not at time of entry as well.

5) All roots must remain inside the yogurt cup for the duration of the challenge and may require trimming. Any type of feeding is allowed, but if roots grow out the bottom of the container they must be trimmed immediately and not be outside the container (once again, 250 mL maximum capacity.

6) Harvest must be no more than 20 weeks from today, that's November 9th 2015 . You can enter and finish ANY time between now and and thee 9th of November, but MUST be harvested with finished product pictures and smoke report by November 9th 2015.

7) Keep the photos and updates regular, one per week at least. Showing a ruler or something for scale in pics goes a long way! Missing 3 or more weeks without any update disqualifies a contestant, so keep up steady updates for maximum participation and to be considered in the winners poll.

8) Winner will be decided by a poll posted after the competition is completed. Prize will be a pack of seeds from Seedbay/Seedboutique. Winner will contact OldPink to coordinate receiving their prize. Thanks to Payaso, OldPink & Explosiv for making this happen!

9) It is expected of all contestants to keep a good attitude in the spirit of community and sharing of knowledge and experiences. Let's all have FUN.

Completed Yogurt Cup Grows will be judged by the ICMAG community in a poll upon completion of the contest. Finished grows will be judged on:
Quality of the information given
Frequency and presentation of updates
Quality of photographs and / or videos
Explanation & details
Design of the grow (concept)
Smoke report
Answers to questions about the grow
Quality & Quantity of the harvest

Last but not Least; a list of micro container growing history on ICmag (some great info and grows in these threads):

Thanks Avinash.miles. I plan to start off a few different ones. One will be G13 Labs Double Black and another will be Ace's Bubba Kush x Hash Plant. Might throw down a G13 Labs White Widow for fun as well just depends on room and how I feel. They are all heavy Indicas lol don't have any short worth wild Sativas atm so will have to veg for a good while. My other clone cuts will not be coming up in time for this next cup run. Wish I could run my GHS Chemdog clone, next round for sure I will take extra just for the contest. Hope others join in for the fun . The last round was fun and I :tiphat: to everyone in it.

Hell yea I had to grab 12 of them since their limited edition ones. Had to grab 20 Back to the Congo's as well(limited edition). Haven't had the pleasure of flowering one yet. I know they turn out like beauts, got one in veg atm. Thinking about doing one for the cup for fun. Looks like my Chemdog will actually be ready for cloning in time for the contest so I can't wait . What are your plans for your strains? If I may ask :tiphat:.

can i start outdoor my jogi cup, then bring it indoors in autumn?

YES!! there are NO restrictions on environment, this round could be very interesting with the "iny-outies"

in the time frame allowed someone could pop a zamaldelica seed, flower it in a tropical environment out side from seed, harvest and keep 12/12 flowering like a perennial indoors, LOL.... out-iny

I'm scheming on how to do my yogi cup plant outdoors... maybe a floating garden wick fed from the pond it floats in.... shit, i already said too much
:tiphat:

Dr.King; no plans yet, just something i have laying around im sure will end up in a yogi cup..... check my thread to see all i got going on... (round infinity in sig)

unregistered190: ur very welcome, it's always fun to see what peeps do, and this is OUTDOOR season so hopefully we will see some different approaches and techniques from the "winter" round.

Well..I could give it a try. Just took some clones this week, so if I have extra (almost all root) can give it a go.

Got a cabinet full of containers one aught to be the right size.

That's all good Miles, some peep just go with the flow. Can't wait to see what people run. Nice to see a lot of others getting into the contest. Comparing outdoor runs should be fun. My little 400 watt can't rep the sun . Should really be fun, that is the main reason I do this. I might start a Zamaldelica, got me thinking now. Sounds like a fun idea, still got 2 beans left. Probably veg her for 2 or 3 weeks then straight to flower. Good luck to everyone!

I'm in, probably do sour dubb x watermelon kush or pre98 bubba x nl5/white lotus.
This should be interesting!

hahaha. cabinet full of containers and closest size was 220G, i'm going to the store tomorrow and grab something then.

Might run Black Lime, GG4, GSC or grab a cut from the outdoor plants and rock that...it's all for fun!!

Even considered throwing some Malawi seeds down...3 aught to bring forth 1 lady...

Glad to hear people running some interesting strains. GG4 would do great in a yogi. Doubt I will have the room in any of my 5'x5'x7' tents so I hope I can fit atleast 2 in them. I was hoping to run 3 or 4 yogis this time around, as they do yield pretty well for their size. I am going to have to hang them from the top of my tents over the rest of my buds . Might not be able to do that as they would get to tall so I might have to do a hanging scrog for my yogis. This should get interesting fast. Sound like a bad idea? Just trying to make my babies fit.

My 2 entries for sure are 1 Green House Seeds Chemdog clone and 1 Ace Seeds Bubba Kush x Hash Plant. If I have the room I plan to start a Ace Seeds Green Haze, my last pheno went 28 weeks but that was with a bad light regimen. This time I will run 9/15 at the end if need be if I do have the room and decide to run one. She will definitely need scrogging if I do. Last one with straight 12/12 no veg ended up yielding over 6 oz's and got 7 feet tall in 2 gallons of coco. Big difference in size with a yogi which is why I am so interested in seeing how she will perform in a cup. Good luck everyone.

I'm in and germinating. If I get a male and a female, I'll make babies. No more autoflowering strains for me, going to give these some veg time. Last round I got 12 grams from the Black Cream and 10 grams per Spyder, I'm hoping to get at least 20 grams per plant this time.

I'm going to be using a 250ml smoothie container and a 200ml yoghurt cup, filled with coco coir.

1 Seed Per Strain,

Bodhi - Heaven Mountain (Goji og (bodhi cut) x Appalachia)
TGA SubCool - Space Candy (Cotton Candy Kush X Space Queen)
