pop_rocks Toro stands for Taurus (me) the bull and hare is my wife (the korean zodiac). We're pretty different in terms of how we do things but it helps see different aspects of life and what we can achieve.

Toro & Hare is just upset that he gave me every single design I posted to share and promote. He encouraged me to share all his work and promote his brand in exchange for designs. Now in hindsight he likes to paint me as some nefarious actor, when in reality I was posting all his work and screening clients and sending everyone directly to him. He now, after he took all the clients I brought to him and felt comfortable enough to do away with me for business reasons (purely in it for the money), seems to believe I was conning him the entire time, as if I had some plot all along to "steal" his designs (that he gave me and encouraged me to post). He kept selling me on the idea that we were partners and that we were going to start a legit business and that he was going to pay me back for all that I did for him and this business. He was even toying with the idea of abandoning Toro & Hare and starting Blazing Bull with me taking the place of his current partner... But he will never say any of this, or of all the money I gave him, of all the opportunities I gave him, and how he was happy to give me a measly 10% commission on the jobs. I worked tirelessly for this man, and taught him everything about cannabis and the community and introduced him to all these big clients he has, and he gives me absolutely no credit... This is a thinly veiled attempt to sabotage me and he feels threatened by my presence in the market. His work doesn't even get me any business anymore, not for along time, but for some reason he likes to keep bringing me up. Don't partner with anyone and expect your good intentions and devotion to be rewarded or respected. Chris is in it just for the money, he does not care about anything else. He joins this community and starts calling me out and pretending to be some hero and good guy for his own benefit.

good to see you posting here terpene tom; maybe you can clear some thing up for us
just saw your most recent post
https://www.icmag.com/forum/talk-abo...bis-art-design
which of those is your art work? did you do the vector art for the tt' logo with the gnome? or the typographical ones
which pieces posted did you actually made yourself
/ if any of those pics are not yours, who did the design? i dont see any credit for others peoples work and especially links to the artist
i think toros main complaint was you are posting others art work as your own and not giving them credit

TerpeneTom initially hired me to make his brand for his Etsy store, which I agreed to do.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/TerpeneTom

But then he turned it into this business of selling t-shirts and artwork because he saw how well my work was received, none of which he had made or came up with. When I asked him to credit my work when he posted, he threw a fit, dropped me off the squarespace website I was building for him, and ghosted me for some time until he needed me to open files for his brand. I told him that we needed to part ways because I did not agree with this practice. After that, he would repost my work in his cannabis portfolio here on IC Mag and on Instagram from other clients that I worked with directly, in which Terpene Tom had nothing to do with.
Here are some examples of brands that I posted on instagram and that he put into his IC Mag portfolio

These are only a couple of examples.
Black Swallow Living Soils
Pagosa Hemp Co.
Organic Solutions
Leaf to Ember
Green River Club
Local Boy Seeds
Karma Genetics (bags I had designed and printed here in Taiwan)

Not only did he do that. I showed him personal mandala work that I do as a hobby, he copy and pasted them tried to make money off of it on his t-shirt business. I never gave him permission to sell any of these.
Example:

I'm still finding these on other websites, I told him countless times to take down my work that he did not pay for. This was his reply

At first, I didn't know what he was capable of and was naïve about the situation. I've been trying to build a livelihood and would never partner with someone who wouldn't credit the artist for the actual work.

He started posting on this feed and saying "we made this" or "this is collaboration".

https://www.icmag.com/forum/ic-magaz...services/page3

A lot of those posts say nothing about Toro and Hare (the actual designers) and poses it as if he made it. People comment saying "great work Tom!" and he would say "Thanks!" as if he made it. Some of the work was commissioned but a lot of it not.

He was also hiring not only me but other designers, fielding us to see which ones would prosper and which ones would not .I was going to give him 10% because he literally doesn't do any work other than messaging people and throwing up emoji's. Who puts countless hours in developing ideas, designs, illustrating and making sure the artwork actually works for different situations? I'm trying to building relationships with clients, create a living, and provide artwork for people so that their businesses can prosper.

What is Terpene Tom doing?

He hires people from developing countries who work on low wages, doesn't allow them to come into direct contact with the client for continued relationships, poses as if he is the master designer, having them make all the artwork, and then charging the client a premium up to 500-1000% on deposits.

Terpene Tom does not create ANY of the artwork.

Of course, the designer will not stand up for themselves because they need the money to sustain themselves and would rather take the $200 and let him make a $1000. That's a predatory model for all the people involved but him. In the mean time, he is fucking up the whole design industry because these people don't get credit for their work or recognition amongst the community, lowering wages across the board for anyone trying to work in the cannabis space, while he sits back and makes money off of everyone on IC mag and Instagram. Are you sure you're not only in it for the money, Nathan Donald Depree (that is his actual name)?

Here are the designers he's working with (that I know of) but does not credit anywhere on his Instagram or IC mag profile.
https://www.instagram.com/goldenbaystudio/
https://www.instagram.com/musart_design/

https://www.instagram.com/gepsiko/
https://www.instagram.com/mongravery/
https://www.instagram.com/curtisillustration/
https://www.instagram.com/tom_vd_linden_illustrator/

He is very creepy as well with new stuff I posted on IC mag and pins here on his feed

https://www.pinterest.com/nathandonaldd/

On his artboard of cannabis craft, I would say 90% of it is my artwork.

Here is where he saves other people's artwork but claims it as his own when clients are contacting him. He will pin one of my pieces, copy and paste the photo into his portfolio, a client will find it and think he made it. I will never hear from that client. This is artwork that he did not pay for and had nothing to do with. He simply copies and pastes my work (along with others) and redirects them to his profiles, to profit off of a client and undercut the designer.

I hate that I had to make this post as it's extremely unprofessional but I'm defending my livelihood and my work from scammers and thieves like TerpeneTom
