Over 300 Federal Agents Raid Humboldt! a whole county?! WTF?

http://www.times-standard.com/ci_9683779 More than 400 federal and state agents executed search warrants in Southern Humboldt and Arcata today, part of an investigation into what the FBI described as a major commercial marijuana operation. A local hotel clerk reports that agents are booked in their rooms until Friday. About eight FBI agents serving a search warrant at a house on Virginia Way just outside Arcata this morning were looking through apparent grow lights, tubing, boxes and bags. They refused to talk to the media. Several warrants were also served in Southern Humboldt, including on Briceland Thorne Road. A checkpoint staffed with assault-rifle toting agents was reportedly set up at Alderpoint and Harris roads. Convoys of agency vehicles poured through several communities in Southern Humboldt. The agencies were staging out of the River Lodge in Fortuna. FBI spokesman Joseph Schadler said that agents with the FBI and the state were collecting evidence through 27 federal and two state warrants as part of a two-year investigation into a major marijuana cultivation and distribution operation. ”We're looking at a single group of folks,” Schadler said. Schadler said that the operation is not targeting at medical marijuana grows. Warrants were being served on both indoor and outdoor growing operations, Schadler said, and the outdoor operations totaled some 2,000 acres. The U.S. Postal Service and Internal Revenue Service were also participating. Law enforcement does not plan to file charges against anyone at this stage, he said. Agents will continue to search the properties for hours or even days, he said. so who were the ones calling bullshit on this late last week/weekend??? It's pretty funny, I read an article last weekend (sat I think it was) where a agent from the FBI said "No, were not going to humboldt it's just a bunch of rumors" then something about how the few agents there would be doing "training" in helicopters looking for OUTDOOR grows.. Nice how the gov lies ALL the time.
Also i'm with Vanilla, No matter what they do, they will NEVER Erradicate this plant..NEVER....FTW N_G

ha ha, they didnt bust me.....so I guess I dont mind the raids.
I live in Minnesota and I believe as long as I am not busted, that I do not have any problem with this. Silently growing, concealed and small - my weed wont be found. Many other grows will not be found, weed will always be around. It is only a matter of time before it is legalized because generation by generation we are gaining people in office who understand the modern view of the reality of marijuana use. I guess what Im saying is I will just CHILL and will try my best to spread my seeds and do my part in overgrowing. Ive already inspired 5 people I know and they are inspiring others. Let the growing phenomenon cascade into a full-blown overgrow, let there be someone who comes around and starts a huge revolution. A revolution hidden, planned, involving many people and risks. Plant in the south, coordinate cloning those toward the north, tell people about the grows and let them grow and grow and TELL people these coordinates. Its the only way. The only part is keeping this all under wraps. I have a few ideas, PM me with ideas also.
