Master Kaze - test grow for Mr Nice Seeds

Let me start by saying theres not a whole lot to show at the moment. Im just going to document this grow from start to finish, so its going to be slow before it gets fast :joint:

quick run down on the setup

Light - cfls in early veg, 150w HPS + cfls in later veg, and 400w CMH + cfls + UVB cfls in flower.

Medium - FFOF + perlite and a little lime. Just under 1gal veg, and either 3 or 5gal in flower.

Nutes - FloraNova grow + bloom in low doses in veg, Floranova Bloom + liquidkoolbloom in low doses in flower. More or less, a lightly altered (diluted) version of lucas. Superthrive and molasses used periodically.

Space is tight, 2x2x5.3, but it gets the job done lol.

I recieved the seeds a week ago, and started soaking them within a few hours. At 18hrs into soak, all seeds were down, and a few had already started opening...they wanted to live.

These pics arent fresh, but the plants have been above ground for anywhere from 2-4 days now, depending on which seedling.

I started 11 off, and 11 have germinated successfully. :woohoo:

ok, let's hit the Fast Forward button.......

I vegged forever. Needed room in the tent. Oh well. Of 11, we have 4 females.

1 herm, but probably due to neglect. Personal problems forced an extended absence, only having one plant intersex says good things about the strain IMO.

Im back though, and rolling quite nicely.

3/4 of the ladies are on their 4th day of flowering, and the 4th is on -3 days flowering (1 week behind).

Couple of FF pics to get us up to speed........

1st pic is a shot of a few in veg, just to give you an idea of where we came from.

2nd pic is a current canopy shot, with 3 in early full-flower.

3rd and 4th are "bud shots" if you can call them that this early LMAO.

End of day 7 (day 0 for the fashionably late lady). Fed 5ml/g of 'Nova Bloom for the last couple of weeks, but tonight Ive added 5ml/g molasses as well.

In another week, Ill phase in some LKB.

trichomes are already setting in to the naked eye on a couple of them, but I wasnt able to capture it on the pics.

but....here's what I do have

pic 2 - a closeup on one of the budsites.

pic 3 - this one looks to be a decent expression of the haze and/or skunk.

its a little quiet here, but Ive been keeping the journal up off-site, so it wont be a hard thing to keep regular updates through the end. Ill be here, promise :joint:

pic 1 - MK9. Isnt she nice? I cant really have a favorite yet, but she could be a contender.

pic 2 - MK7, or the hazy / skunky lady. I dont know which it is, could be both....but those leaves are THIN. this is also the stretchiest of the group.

pic 3 - This one's fairly tame, so Id reckon it's more of the afghan/master kush side of things, but who knows. Also, if you look closely, you may notice that this is the earliest of the ladies to have trichomes visible to the naked eye / camera. Look real close.

ok, so those 3 are the ladies that are nearly done with their 11th day of flower.

and now,

pic 4 - MK10. the most hollow stems of any Ive ever grown, this lady is only on her 4th day of flower, so somewhat less impressive than the other three....but I have high hopes.

not a lot to look at tonight, so ill keep it short.

3/4 of the ladies are now through 16 days of flower, the fourth is just over a week in.

the feed was upped to 5ml/g Nova bloom + 5ml/g molasses + 5ml/g liquid koolbloom. Should start speeding the process along i hope.

for tonight....

#1 - Bud shot off MK4. For some reason, I didnt take a full plant shot....kinda disappointed in myself.

#2 - Whole plant shot of MK7...the haze/skunk phenotype. Im kinda fond of her

#3 - MK9 plant shot. She is by far the most resinous, and is starting to resemble some master kush characteristics IMO

#4 - Whole plant shot of MK10.... could be another sativa phenotype

MK4, 7, and 9 are now done with 3 weeks of flowering. MK10, the fourth pic tonight, is done with week 2 or so.

yeah, one phenotype is REALLY starting to fill in. MK9...ive got a cola pic of her tonight.

first picture - shitty quality with the brightness, but if you have resistance to snow blindness, you can see the trichomes. Not bad for 24-25 days of flower, IMO.

second pic - a nice shot of a terminal bud from MK9. This is going to be the fastest phenotype, so it seems

third and fourth - well, a picture is worth some words, or something like that. I dont feel like quantifying that.

Hi amoril i agree that the pheno in the second pic will be your fastest finisher it is looking great, i can see the trichs in the first pic ok they will be some frosty buds for sure, i like the last shot it going to be a nice room full of buds

pic 1 - MK7. The sativa lady, this shot is kinda looking at the tip of a bud. I liked it, at least :joint:

pic 2 - MK7. Same bud, actually, but this time revealing a little of whats under those leaves :woohoo:

pic 3 - MK9. Just a nice bud shot on the earliest phenotype.

pic 4 - MK9. A different bud, and closer up. You can see the moderate trichome development for 4 weeks, enough that Im certainly not pissed

pic 5 - MK4. Bud coverage starts pretty well around where you see my hand, the pic is terrible at catching that.

pic 6 - MK4. Closer up shot of a budsite, looking down. Mainly to point out some trich development on a more balanced phenotype.

MK4, MK7, and MK9 are done with 4 weeks of flower. MK9 is halfway done, or so, the other two have a little longer than that.

MK10 is the one a week behind, and also looking to be a balanced / sativa phenotype.

pic 7 - MK10. Not a great pic, but oh well.

MK4, MK7, and MK9 are now complete with 5 weeks of flowering. MK10 is through 4 weeks of flower.

all are being fed 5ml/g FNBloom, 5ml/g Liquid KoolBloom, 10ml/g molasses.

pic 1 - MK4. My guess is she is second to finish.

pic 2 - MK7.

pic 3 - MK9. Actually, the buds on the left and right are MK9, the one in the middle is MK7....shows the difference in maturity.

pic 4 - MK10. Clearly a little behind the rest, probably going to have the longest flower time, despite being started a week late....double wham.

couple more random shots in a minute....there's a gorgeous trichome shot from MK9, this lady is coated
