Hey Guys,

Im not much of a thread starter, but I figured I would start one.

After a heated discussion about Ventilation on another thread, I figured I would see what you guys think.

Im an old fashoned dirt farmer! LOL.. I think you can never have enough air flow through your system, large or small. the only reason to restrict it is for Co2 applications, or emergency quiet if you need it!

I the more the better for me. I dont use Co2. Lights on, or off I keep fresh air flowing.

What do you guys think?
and please, lets keep it civil, I feel in the end, if it works for you, do what you do.

Of course this is for Indoor, but I would love to see pics of your non ventilated unit :) or of course if your outside then we dont need it do we! LOL.

i have 2 six inch desk fans venting my 175W MH stealthbox.

one is in the top pulling air out right above the reflector, and one is low blowing air in from the bottom.
i leave the bottom on on all the time, and the one next to the light vents out while the lights are on.

...i am drawing up designs for a 250W HPS now and i am really interested in this thread and what people are doing especially people who use cool tubes, and blow air out the cool tube for passive intake. whe nthe light is off is there no airflow whatsoever ?

If you use a carbon scrubber, and your room isn't perfectly sealed, the smell is overpowering if the fan is turned off.

I use a cool tube, intake of the ventilation system goes from the cool tube, to the intake of the fan, the exhaust goes into a carbon scrubber.. the fan stays on 24/7
