Okay Im tired of buying soil and tired of getting rid of it. So I'm thinking of trying my hand with some hydro. Im currently useing soil and will continue until I have hydro it down. I guess I will go with the Bubbler Buckets homemade ones. Can someone sugest an easy nute for someone just trying this. Also any sugestion on grow media ect

If buckets are not the way to go let me know. I can set up a table and use coco cubes ect....

In soil i use Flower:

Pure Pro Blend Flower soil
Ej Catalyst
Top Max
bio bizz alge mix what ever the name is
Fox Farm Tiger bloom (1st time useing it this round)

Minus the tiger bloom I love this combo its produced great results. Ill let yall know in about 60 days what the tiger bloom adds

For veg :
Ej Cat
bio bizz alge mix
fox farm grow big
Fossil Fule

Any sugestions?? I will only be trying it out on 3 plant my first run so no RO yest. I have a PH pen but no PPM..

Thanks everyone!!

sounds like a pretty good nute line up that you have... why not try it in hydro?

I use PBP Grow and Bloom supplemented with Liquid Karma and Cal-Mag... Hydroplex as a bloom booster... works for me... I run about 1/2 strength what is on the PBP labels.

I'm doing ebb & flow with Ready-Grow in 5" square pots.

Those buckets look real good...

I am trying one bucket with the rest in soil, the only problem I have is that I can only run buckets in the winter cause in the summer my res temps will get too high. I figure I'll sex some seeds in the summer and do a few buckets in the winter with cuts. Also buckets are good with clones, but not so good for seeds. the 5 gallon buckets seem most efficient when used to grow a small number of very large plants, and you wouldn't want to spend that much time, nutes and changing out buckets for males.

I've grown both... seeds and clones in buckets/tubblers. Clones always seem to finish a little faster.

watch your ph with bubbler buckets. bubbling causes the ph to rise constantly. I went to aeroponics for a zeo ph adjustment. Aeroponics takes more design experience, but also great growth advantages. Good luck with your bucket. To keep your buckets cool in the summer, get some of those cooling packs for ice chests. Place them in the bubbler buckets themselves. You can use frozen containers as well. Good Luck
