The Setup:

My room is in the basement, an area 6 X 10 X 7 feet high, sectioned off with Panda Plastic

2 - 600W PL Deep Refector Air-Cooled hoods with Phillips Son-T Plus Bulbs
2 - 3 X 3 Ebb & Flow tables
30 gallon resevoir sits on the floor with 1" insulation board under it and a 400w resevoir heater that will kick in if temps get below 68 C

Temps run 60 F at night and 80 F with lights on.

Humidity is now 50 - 75% and is supplied by a 5 head fogger floating in a 5 gallon bucket. I've been cycling it on and off every 15 minutes and it seems to be working well. Prior to that the humidity in the basement was 20-30%. I'll probably dial this back to 15 on... 30 off. This is sort of an experiment and the girls seem to be loving it... the garden is lush.

The Nutes

Pure Blend Pro Grow and Bloom, supplemented with Liquid Karma, Cal-Mag and Hydroplex.

R.O. Water at PH 7.0 and 15 ppm
Currently PH is 5.92 and 755 ppm

The Menu

Joining me in table #1 be:

12 BOG LSD
1 AK-47 (gis) - Serious Seeds
3 White Russian #1 - Serious Seeds
1 White Russian #4

2 White Russian #7
1 White Russian #9
1 Bubblegum #7
1 Bubblegum #8

From Seed:
1 Nirvana Blue Mystic - Nirvana
1 Superfruit X Blue Satellite - Capt Crip

Table 2 is currently empty and waiting for some clones to get ready.

I have a C13 cabinet that I use for veg. It has 4 - 20W flouros and a 95W compact flourescent.

Also vegging from seed are:

5 Blue Thunder - Reeferman
6 Blue Moon Rocks - Bog
5 Bogglegum - Bog
3 DSD v2 - Rez

The Goals

Find some nice head stash :canabis:
Find some STRONG meds for my sister who has Hep C and not doing very well... I want to help lessen her pain and brighten her day.
Find a nice SOG strain or two
Develope a continuous flow of meds.

I plan on duplicating this room and running it flip-flopped so that I'm running 1200W 24/7.

Soooooooo... feel free to pop in... comment... offer suggestions... and enjoy the buffet!

Hey man... thanks for stopping by... better keep your girlfriend in tow... I won't need the fat lady to sing for another 5-6 weeks! *laffin*

I need to order an inline fan... where are the deals on these babies? I'm looking for a 6 inch fan. Vortech... Elicient... Fantech or others. I suppose I want some sort of controller for it as well... speed control... thermostatic control... suggestions?

I'm venting above the panda paper into the floor joist of the basement... right now I've got an 8" fan sorta rigged at one end just to provide some air movement throught the tube... sort of ghetto setup at the moment but it seems to work.

Currently, smell is not an issue... but... I do have some stinky stuff in there and plan on sending it into a homemade scrubber... I picked up 25#s of charcoal off of eBay recently for this purpose.

Come on in and sit a spell... My sister was in an accident in the early 70s and received blood... her Hep C as well as serveral other's started from there. Her liver is failing and there is not much they can do for her... she's doing clinical trials... it's about all they are offering her. Thanks for your thoughts.

Sin!
Hey bro... thanks for poppin in! About the only adjustment on the PLs is the base of the bulb holder... there are three setting depending on the size light you are using 250W - 400/600W -1000W.

The reflector is what determines the focus on PLs... I have the Deep Reflector which projects the light down in a square pattern. There are also reflectors that project light in a rectangular pattern.

The light is positioned about 14" above the canopy and seems to cover nicely out to the 4 corners. Positioning of the table under the light is just trial and error.

I've got it pretty well dialed in. Temperature of 79 - 82 C at the top of the plants.

phototropic
Hey man... thanks for the kind words... the Panda Film sure covers a multitude of sin... it's dog ugly on the other side.

I moved here in November... it's a rental house with a basement. The walls are green... the ceiling joists had decorative cobwebs from years gone by. We knocked all that down and hosed them into the drain on the floor.

My brother and bro-in-law (both growers) and I built this thing in about an hour and a few doobs. It seems to be working very well. I'm loving this Panda Film... picked up a 100' roll ten feet wide for well under a 100 bucks somewhere online. The door is just an overlapped area on the side. I do have zipper doors I should probably put in.

This LSD is simply delicious... she draws like silk over a virgin's flesh... goes in real smooth... you need to be really careful cuz she has a tendency E X P A N D! the exhale is slow... you want the earthiness of her to linger on your tongue as long as possible. The buzz just keeps going up... how high do you wanna soar? She's great socially... gives me the laughing fits over the dumbest stuff.

I like it... I love it... I want some more of it... LSD will be in my garden along time to come.

Yes, grasshopper... we did speak of such a grow last summer... I'm half the way there... will just need to walk this one out a bit.

I'd love to duplicate this room and flipflop it... 4 - 600W over 4 tables... two ballasts... I would then be running a continous 1200W. Something to think about... and will take a bit more $ to put together.

My interim option is this... I have a 1000W Hortilux Eye, PL with a rectanglar hood and a Light Rail 3.5... these buckets have caught my eye... BigTokes Bio-Blasting-Buckets and HOG's buckets... Buckets would be a lower cost option for me.

Hey bro... thanks for stopping by.

The RO Unit is great. I had really nasty water. Now I have PH 7.0 and about 10-15 ppm.

I picked this unit up off of eBay... $125.00ish + shipping, if I recall. This unit is a 6 stage and I think is rated at 110 gallons a day.

I'd buy the same unit all over again... without hesitation.

Yuppers... that RO filter is why I can grow where I am. Without it... I'm afraid I would be just SOL.

Mr. Wags
Sorry I've been such a slacker here. I had a hard drive crash recently and it's really screwed up my stuff. I work from home and NEED my computer... it's how I get to my office. Finally on the road to recovery. I've had to reinstall a bazillion programs. Fortunately... I felt the crash coming... my computer has been warning me ever since I upgraded to MS Service Pack 2... so I imaged the drive and was able to save all my datafiles... it's just been a royal pain in the ass getting everything back as it should be. Pics coming soon, my friend.

Welcome to the Buffet man... Glad you found it and want to hang around. I'm on a mission here... to find a few special SOG strains.

HOG!
Glad to see you stop in bro... I know how busy you are... dayum have you got alot of stuff going on. I've kicked it up a few notches with my grow from last year... still aways to go. You were my original inspiration to do tables and to find a great SOG strain. That White Rhino you have sure is looking like it could fill the bill... but in the interim... I've got a TON of new stuff going on.

I'll try to get a few more pics up this week. I've recently added a 3 X 3 table under a 430W Son Agro for vegging... This table has been online about a week now and seems to be a great veg solution for me.

Once again... thanks ya'll for stopping by and taking a peek.

Yes, sir... they are all the same girls... just 3 weeks later. I'm growin these out semi-SOG style. They were not very tall when they went on the tables and now are about 16 - 18 inches.

The BMR's are getting lush... I've got 3 ladies out of 6.

This is #6 which was the smallest of the bunch when I put them in their pots.

I hope these turn out half as nice as your BMRs did. Thanks for stopping by.

Last fall sometime... I picked up some of Capt. Crip's Superfruit X Blue Satellite off of SeedBay. I think I have a very intersting little lady on my table.

http://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/2292sf-x-bs-031005-med.jpg

She's electric... just out of control so I had to bend her back and tie the wench down. This gal started out looking very indica... but as she is starting to show her flowers... it's obvious she is a very lovely sativa.

and another shot... she looks so delicate... yes?

Let me put it this way... my tap water just sucks. Disregard the previous readings above... my PH meter sucked as well and did not give accurate readings... a Hanna Checker... it seemed to work great... the first 6 months I had it.

So... I added a new Milwaukee SM802 to my hydro toolkit just yesterday.

http://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/2292meter-02-10-08-med.jpg

This meter works well for me in that it is portable, however I do have a resevoir that I primarily wanted to monitor so... I put some velcro on the back and gave it a semi-permanent home.

http://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/2292meter-01-10-08-med.jpg

Now... to answer your question I took a new set of reading today of my tap water... water after RO and water in my res.

Tap Water
PH: 7.8
EC: .8
PPM: 550

RO Water
PH: 6.1
EC: 0
PPM: 0

Resevoir
PH: 5.7
EC: 1.61
PPM: 1100

I'll make mention that with PBP and my amendments that I do not chase my PH. Once I start to see any movement of 5 - 6 points up or down I will change the res. Basically I top off as needed. I get usually 2+ weeks service before I change it out.

The hard part here is doing multi-strains and maintaining a balance of what they all can live with. I know this is a compromise at best... but so far it's working. Previously I've pushed the nutes... this run I'm laying back and the girls seem to be loving it.

Blue Thunder is Reeferman's and the Superfruit is from Capt. Crip who is creating his own seed line, Kryptonite Seeds. If you haven't already... checkout the Capt's Quest (http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=8829&highlight=superfruit) thread.

Mr. Wags
Thanks for cruising by bro!

Your show is looking fabulous... gawd... I want my baby buds to grow up and be like yours.

I think some C02 is on my horizon. I just need to decide how I want to implement it. A grow friend locally has offered his C02 regulator to me but I don't think I would be too fond of lugging takes in and out. I would love a CO2 generator I just need to squeeze it into my "hobby budget".

Maistre if you can get a regulator for free do it man do it now that will save you at least 140.00 and is the most costly of the setup. Ok now you need a tank here ya go :

http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/tanks/co2.shtml

Get a 20 pound for 98.00 it cost 18.61 to fill and is good for 2 grows. With shipping you looking at around 135.00 for 20-35 % more bud DO IT MAN!

Above you will see how mine is injected. 3 times per day 12,3,6 let run for 1 minute per cycle depending on the size of the room. My box is small and sealed so you might want to go longer. Good Luck you won't be sorry!

Mr. Wags
Thanks for the tank link... I'm still undecided... those tanks seemed kind of small. My grow area is 5 X 10 X 7 soooooo... I'm thinking it will take more. Also... I will be adding another area under a 1000W air-cooled and do some sort of bucket rig with it.

So... I changed the res out lastnight... and flushed a few tables with just PH 6.0 RO water.

Once I added nutes:

9 oz. PBP Bloom for Soil
3 oz Liquid Karma
1 tsp SuperThrive
2 oz Hydroplex
2 oz Silicone Blast
12 tsp of Epsom Salts

This gave me the following readings:

PH 4.30
PPM 870
EC 1.29

I let the res settle in for a few hours and added 1 tbs of PH Up which brought me to 5.6 for PH. This has held steady now for 12 hours. I'll bring the ppm up in the 1100-1200 range later today.

My old PH meter was really way off... even though it calibrated to the solution just fine. To think... I really trusted that thing and all along I was running my solutions 1 full point lower than what I was lead to believe from the readings. It's a wonder anything lived... IMAGINE... thinking you had perfectly stable solutions at 5.8 when in reality... it was 4.8. HOLY SHIT!

Never-the-less... the garden is looking fabulous despite myself.

I'm determined to get this photography bit down... sooooooo... here are a few pics to share with you.

If you really read the manuals to the meters, even the "leave in the tank type", they will tell you to take your reading, then take the meter probe out and put it in a solution. If you leave your probes in the solutions (reservoirs), then you are doing "controlled destruction".

Your Hannah probably just needed a new meter probe. I use New Zealand Hydro products for my metering, and their manuals tell you to pull the probes out when not in use and put them in PH neutral water... And thats for their "leave in the solution all the time" type of meter.

Anyway, off to smoke a bowl, then kick back and watch the flames :)

Thanks man. I'm running an 8 inch can fan with filter. You can see it in the background if you look close. The canfan is in the attic and so are the ballasts. I'm running c02 @ about 1800ppm. 2 ac's, total of 14000 btu's. Nutes are Foxfarm grow, Big Bloom, Liquid karma and kabloom. Medium is Foxfarm light warrior mix in 3 gal grow bags. 1000w'r under each tray (upgrading in a few months to digi 600's). I'm a big believer in bottom feeding so I flood to waste and they love it. Though any time I need to flush I have to top feed to get the run off...
