Longest grow???

I was wondering what was the longest anyone on these forums has ever let their babies grow without going over, before they harvested????

Mine are on day 72 with pretty much all milky trich's and with the occasional amber.....
I believe I'll be chopping now (AK-47xBlueberry; My first grow ) :rasta:

I asked Gypsy about this once.....

He said that plants on the Fiji islands (and surrounding micro-islands) can go 16 or 17 weeks before reaching full maturity.....those were the longest-flowering varietals in the world, to his knowledge.....

I would love to see some examples of these long-flowering strains.....

5 months/20 weeks. SSH started 12/26/07 harvested 5/28/08. They were still spitting out white hairs when I harvested them. I let them go an extra 5 weeks for a seed run.

equatorial sativas like Columbian Black can flower for over a year (makes sense as the the difference between seasons is very lil and the environment remains stable all year long). some original California haze can go for over 6 months and ive heard of a few plants that "never stop flowering" they just continue to put out bud or go dormant during the winter and revive during the spring/summer. usually these plants are tossed because most dont want to wait up to a year for their buds. its a real shame too because often these phenos contain the most rich and complex of highs.

The T*Haze x Skunk #1 going around takes at least 17 weeks of flower. Mine could've used a couple more. All told, she was 21 weeks at harvest.12/27/07-5/7/08

I am currently on Day 76 of some WW, and the trichs are still 70% cloudy, 20% clear, 10% amber. The red and purple colors of the bud are really darkening up day by day the longer I let them go, so why should I stop now? Maybe the last few days make a huge difference in THC percentage, so i will wait until the optimum 50/50 amber/cloudy to harvest. That will most likely be around day 85.

On another note, I grew under CFL's for 5 months from start to finish indoors. CFL takes a long time to reach maturity, especially if grown over 2 ft.

And I have heard of people keeping mother plants for over 3 years, so gotta throw that in there.

Canopy control required I bend many tips over like candy canes. Left me some interesting shapes.

120 days flowering is longest ive had, count almost 60 day veg and thats 6 months indoors in the closet.

i keep bonsai mother plants for 1 yr then flower them out and create another new mum of that strain.
