tonsai beach in krabi thailand must be the ultimate climbing stoner friendly place..u can climb on the beach, take a break going up 2 hammock and moke some bamboo bong...or sitting up in a cave 300feet up smoking and looking out over paradise. damn i miss that place!!..

I used to climb a bit along the Appalachian Trail, but it was mostly beginner stuff. It's a bit of a drive to climb where I'm at so I never really got too into it. Just went along with friends so I never got to do it high hehe.

I do indoor climbing at the moment, yet to do outdoor and bouldering but I will try it sometime...Haven't gone climbin blazed, sounds fun, I could see me just hangin by the rope chillin tho lol, that beach you described sounds nice, i got some decent climbin not too far from me but i doubt the weather will be as nice as thailand

i´ve read that many of the legendary worlds famous rockclimbers was red eyed warriors we can take dan osman ( R.I.P) or dean potter as examples..two of the biggest dear devils of rockclimbing...extreme sports and weed hmm i wonder what the parralell is there..

man, ur obviously not an EXPERIENCED rock climber... im not really either, but ive climbed a couple cliff faces that i def. wouldn't think about while i was high man..

thats sending the wrong message, seriously... man i dont promote the encouragement of telling other people to get high...before doing something that could have fatal consequences..you seriously should reconsider that comment you made, and unless you can provide me with photo evidence of you smokin on the side of a cliff, roped up about half way up, lookin at a 5-600 ft. drop...i wont believe u have, and i aint meanin to come off salty, but that shits dumb.. think about how many teenagers and shit come to this website... their young and influential, like i said, im not a serious climber but its not a sport u should do while ur high... u can actually die man... or break something that would cause u to wish ur dead

Rock climbing indoors is safe, and definitely sweet while high. Going outdoors, even with ropes, I'd be more careful.

i walk up alot of the bolted routes around here...but if i need ropes i wont climb it...stoned or not...btw i tend to be more carefull while high..let the doob lead the way!!

i AM quite expienced rockclimber!,climbed in lots of places in the world and part time working as a climbinginstructor..hahaha why would i sit here and lie about this..everyone is diffrent, some maybe don´t like cimb stoned, some do

i know of many climbers that always climb stoned, and so do i, i mean i´m always stoned from mornin to evening do everything stoned been like that for many years.I climbed a LOT for the latest 3 years and never had an accident ..i´m more careull then most people.

i don´t try to encourage anyone! EVERYBODY have a own brain to think with!and there shoud be no kids on this site ..and obvioulsy u think i´m a idiot and i think ur one too.. i wrote 300 feet not 600..??where did that came from?
I dont sit in caves 300 feet up smoking everyday but it happend, don´t climb multipitches so often cause we don´t have many in my country..only on travels and i climb only bolted routes and bouldering.

i love caving at my cabin in the summer time.. theres a rockwall at my university, ive only been once, but i was high as a kite for that one time.. it was a blast!

I climb, but I won't smoke and climb. Personally I don't even smoke and drive, maybe its not the same as drinking and driving, but I sure don't feel comfortable with it. I won't climb with someone who is smoking and I won't ride passenger while letting someone who's been drinking, drive. Just individual preference I guess... not here to preach. To each their own... climb safe and climb often, post pics if you can. :rasta:

spotters and safety ropes that'd be another story.......

sure it can be seen as unsafe to do but what isnt these days. isnt driving a vehicle while stoned dangerous and medical marijuana patients that smoke daily all day every day drive cars every day. I guess it could depend on the strain an indica would make you fall asleep lol

Climbing and smoking...no go. Believe me I can climb pretty hard lines, but if I get high hard lines just become 2 hard. But a nice long easy route thats a different story.

Climbing and smoking? Sure, but it depends..

1. bouldering and TR - no probs at all
2. easy/moderate sport climbs - just a puff here and there and not right before a lead.
3. everything else - dont do it. Use the hike in or better yet the hike out.

I know a guy who blazed before a trad lead. He placed his gear OK but forgot to clip in and fell, getting a compound femur fracture.

Damn I wish there was a decent spot to top rope in AZ. I would do that stoned. Sport and Trad I would be a nervous wreck climbing. Well mabee there is a few routes that are well protected. But seriously I like a level head when climbing.
