Thats sounds like you are gonna have a great setup slip,I'll be keeping a eye on this one. Are you renting or moving into your own place??

Renting a large 4 bedroom house and a two car gar... on the outscirts of the city. Rental Agency comes by for 6 month inspections. All repair work must be compleated by the tenent :), and can be deducted from the rent. PGE box also is on the front of the house but should not matter as I'm only vegging indoors.

Cool stuff slips! Why the wood/mylar walls though??? Clear material would be much better for light penetration and minimizing shading! Won't your yields be lower? Talk to/search garliccitygrow, he had a GH similar to this but not quite as long.....
Don't forget circulation fans!!!! http://www.growerssupply.com/farm/supplies/prod1;gs1_cooling_exhaust_fans-gs1_circulation_fans;58fddfa3. html
These links should help, great sources for greenhouse supplies....

I'm going to be concetrating on getting the light from above and spreading it around evenly. I don't want to have clear walls as I prolly don't want inquiring minds, with the amount of plants I want :). Pluss it's very going to very hard to seal it and keep the heat in, I would rather insolate the sides.

If the ebb and flow is at table height, you should be all good I'd say! Cheers!

Wow i'm planning to do the same thing, as soon as i get back. I'd suggest you use a product called tempshield insulation instead of mylar. Its 97% reflective and its a insulation price isnt too bad either and for your roofing to use solexx greenhouse panels, it lets in more light.it doesnt go yellow or degrade and most important you cant see threw it.....check them out

Interesting. So do I understand right, that it will be outdoor/greenhouse hydro? Nothing like mother nature doing it for you.

One idea for a stealthy design allowing lots of light would be to make a 3 sided greenhouse on the south side of a house/building... It would cut your heating costs compared with a stand-alone greenhouse.... Put an opaque material on there and nobody can see in.... These are pretty common.....

I have mylar on two of my walls. Plastic on the two walls facing the sun. The greenhouse doesn't get morning sun where it is but it's always bright in there, even on a cloudy day. It's worked better than I'd even imagined.
If you have strains that flower regardless of photoperiod you can use a greenhouse for weed all year I'd assume...
Slips are you in a cold climate why you are concerned with keeping heat in, or in winter? My problem is keeping heat down. If I forget to open it up on a sunny day, regardless of season - damn it's hot. Vents are crucial for me, I put a sloping roof, windows up top on the highest wall, door opposite on the lowest.
I use a lot of thermal mass too. Water and concrete. Helps to regulate temps a lot.
I can't wait to see this hydro greenhouse!

Got everything figured out yet for a plan? Ventilation, heating/cooling, air circulation, watering, electricity, floor?

Yea dude that sucks.. Hope it all works out!
100W CFL, does that mean it consumes 100W, or out-puts 100?
I see those flourex brand 100W CFL's but it says it needs a ballast. Plus it looks like it uses those large mogul bases (like a 1000).
