1k hps question

hey all i have a question concerning a new 1k bulb on the market any1 using this new The Solarmax "One" combines both enhanced Metal Halide and Super High Pressure Sodium technologies to achieve strong peaks for both

seen it at my fav local hydro shop was pretty wicked looking when they fired up the bulb, kinda pricey also at 200$ us. so is any1 using this new bulb if so what's your likes and dislikes thx :rasta:


oh yea almost forgot the shop owners wernt worried about using thier bare hands on the bulb they said finger prints oil wont blow up your bulbs. this person has had her shop open almost same location for 20yrs

i saw one of these bad boys at the local hydro place, looked like a good idea. not 200$ though, more like 120 i think....would make a decent closet grow...reviews are appreciated since im thinking of starting indoors...might as well do it right, eh?

right on except the 1k bulb through NGW which is where my and alot us hydro shops get thier supplys it costs 175.00$ . thats the hydro shops cost i couldnt see them charging 120.00 and loosing money, i can get this bulb 25.00 over thier cost. this bulb looks like the cats meow 4sure and the bulb having a mixture of hps and mh in the 1 bulb sounds real interesting. just wondering if any1 has been using this new bulb if so what's your thoughts on it tis it worth the money for the bulb for a more ballanced color spectrum during flower. looks like the bulb has 600w hps and 400w mh combined into a 1k bulb :headbange :muahaha:

I think this bulb is a great idea.... > BUT < since its a 600HPS and a 400wMH it does not have the same penetrating power as a real 1000wer ... this new bulb throws out lower Lumens .... by a lot ......

Regular Solar Max 1000w Super HPS = 147,000 Lumens
well the The combo 600+400w throws only 100,000 Lumens

thats like half...... the only time i would use this lamp is during the strech if it was need to keep things under control
