Sexing a sativa cross

hey everyone just a quick question?

does it generally take longer to show sex on sativa crosses,then indica..the reason for my question is I am curently in the process of 12/12 in order to get rid of the males so i can only grow fems outiside. i have already culled lemon stinky males and cherry berry but the QUICK MIST from rez has not shown any signs of sex. it has been 15 days in 12/12..I need to stop 12/12 ASAP cause i need to revert/reveg before placeing the plants outside. any suggestions or comments?

Ouch, so you flowered the entire plant to show sex and are then going to re-veg????

Well based on your post count I'll just assume you know what that does to a plant and it's harvest date (pushed back) due to the shock + possible hermi's.

Anyway to answer ya - I have never found a way to speed up flowering. Some of my indica's have taken 10 days while others have taken 21....all depends on the strain I suppose. With sativa's I've noticed about the same behavior with the longest I think I've ever had to wait being 21 days.

So all I can suggest is.... continue to wait..... OR, just had another thought!

Cut 2-3 clones from the plant you are still trying to sex. Pull the plant and put it outside to veg and leave the clones in the flower room. They dont even really need to root in order to show sex. This should give you the best of both worlds: If your plant is female it's already outside, if it's male then you didnt waste anymore time in the flower chamber and can rip it out from outside.

Klutter thanks for your response...i realize that by sexing the plants..I have set them back a few weeks but i needed to find out the sex..So what I am doing is giving them 24 hours of light then putting them outside(tommorw) i figure by middle of June they should be back in veg and growing like trees..I dug a 3' deep hole and is 2' wide...so they have plenty of grow space to get big..I will be planting 1 cherry berry and 1 lemon stinky..the rest i have to give away to friends..have no room to grow all of them..btw I like your idea about taking cuttings maybe i will next year.......
