Hey everyone.
I'm on my second grow, and right now I'm vegging some AK47, blockhead and gdxdw freebies under the 400w mh. My first grow went pretty good, smoking on a variety of some of the best bud I've had right now (I like the blockhead, esp the SPG pheno and the AKs are no slouch).
Anyway, the first time around I didn't top or do any lst or anything like that, but this time I'd like to bump up my yeild a bit. My question is this: The AKs that I grew last time all had lots and lots of side branching, but one of the blockheads and the godbuds were just straight columns of bud. How much would it help to use lst on the plants with no side branching? I don't think it would hurt, but if there's no branches to grow upwards and catch up to the top of the plant then I don't see the point. Would topping be better for those ones? Any advice is appreciated.
