Oh my God, this came as a total shock to me. The hardest working man in showbusiness, the grandfather of soul, the MAN, James Brown has passed away today on christmas day. He was pretty old and working very (=too?) hard but it still wasn't his time yet, no way near!
Brown was admitted to the Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on December 24, 2006 after a dentist visit where he was found to have severe pneumonia. Brown died the next day on December 25, 2006, around 1:45 a.m. (06:45 UTC).

Peace at last James, peace at last. The godfather of souls passing will leave a huge void. Props to James for setting the standard he did and for breaking down the door for others to go thru after him.

Gee man, i thought that man is indestructible. Dunno... all i can remember at this moment is his concert in Austin, Texas (or maybe it was Dallas?) from 1980 i saw once on TV. And that's how i'm gonna always remember him: like a human tornado.
Right on, right on, brother!

James Brown was the King of soul.
God R.I.P
I remember seeing a live stage performance (on tv i'm afraid to say) where James passed out and had to be carried off-stage, soon to return with a superman cape... ready to rock...
Bring back the funk!
(and acid for that that matter)
He always put everything he had into it!
Rest in Peace JB
