germination question

i harvested some orange crush x hypno seeded buds today, the seeds look medium dark in color and dont squish between the fingers, do i have to let them dry out or can they be germinated immediately?
i put one in water last week as a tester and it didnt pop
any thoughts?

That's actually a very good question. I would say no, based on my experiences with other plants. I don't the the correct answer, probaby dosen't matter either way.

i had 3 herm seeds in 1 bud out of 4 oz of lemon kush. I tried to germ them, about 1 wek after harvesting and they did not pop, so i planted them in a small pot of soil. About 3 weeks later 1 sprouted and 1 was germed under the soil when i went digging. So, speaking from my only experience, it took my seeds 1 month from harvest to germinate. I do not know what, prob could search the forum tho.

It has always been my understanding that you should harvest, dry and cure your bud as you normally would then remove the seeds. So yeah, I think they do need to dry. They may even continue to mature after they are harvested. I'm sure that someone in the breeder's forum could answer your question.

Yes I believe they will need to be dried.

Don't let the temp get too high though as I've heard that it can damage the viability (germ rate) of the seeds.
