I ordered these 2 strains because the names were cool :) CALI ORANGE BUD?!? that just sounds beautiful and nl x BIGBUD, BIGBUD!, cant go wrong there plus I heard NL was one of the most popular strains. I was going to look at the strain guides over at overgrow but obviously you guys know they were shut down :( Real upset eh? Well since I cant peak my head into the strain guide I thouhgt I'd ask straight up, are these 2 strains any good? I cannot find a single report one these. HUGE props to anyone who helps me out. Be honest and dont give me fasle information to make me feel better. If the strains suck, I cant do anything about it. Only cost me 45 canadain, no biggie :joint:

I already posted this in another forum... hope it helps. Personally I think aurora indica would be better... it is an F1.
I grew Nirvana's NL x BB twice in a GH hydrofarm under a 600 watt MH conversion bulb for veg and HPS for flower with GH nutes and Floralicious Bloom. Out of 9 beans planted I got 6 females. They were each a slightly different pheno type ranging from extreme sativa to indica / sativa. They stretched 3-4 times in height from veg.
The sativa wanted to be a tree and keep growing and produced small fluffy buds at 63 day harvest.
THe best was the most indica and had the least stretch 2-2.5 times.. It cloned easily and hadt he best plant structure and buds. Smallest distance between nodes, but still sparse and plenty of light gets through.
Really fragrent fresh and in the cure, but cures to be a barely peppery smell.
I grew it several different ways. I put the clones in at different heights 2" , 4" 6" and 8". I grew them single cola or topped.
It ended up that 2 weeks in veg was enough and that if topped and put into bud at 6" they grew into massive 4 buds. The small singles grew into a solid 2' bud.
Takes at least 4-6 weeks to get the harsh out with a jar cure. Not the best flavor but it grows on me. There is a ceiling to the high which means that you can smoke as much as you want but not get any higher. However , I have never smoked more than a joint and a half with my wife.
That's all I can think of...
Peace.

I grew bb and NLxbb, but not cal orange. You should get some good herb and decent yields, but in my experience you get what you pay for.
I enjoyed both, one pheno of the NL X BB was real stony, and the calio was fine smoke, took me back to old concert days. Happy Buds!
