Mr.Wags Goes Buckets But What About Bob?

Well folks, after about 9 months of planning 2 smashed fingers 1/2 jar of ak bud and a few brews our bucket room is almost complete. :woohoo:

But what about BOB you ask? Well he has his own room now with the a/c and now will be used for early veg and mommy keeping.(Wanna Collect Some Good Ones Now).

I've installed a digital window fan between the rooms:

Behind it in the cool/veg room I'm gonna build a sealed box encloser and seal that back of the fan so that no light leaks through. I plan on running 6 inch duct tubing in the bottom of that box and feed the intake in just above my a/c outlet and put a dayton fan in the end to fill the boxed enclosure with nice cooled air (kinda like what I used to cool BOB off in the summer:

I'm gonna be using a single 1000 watt switchable ballast with a Daystar vented hood:

The intake for the venting for the hood will also be inside the sealed box behind the fan cooled air for that big ass Hortilux should be nice.

Now odor control. We got that covered to:

This is by far the biggest scrubber filter I've ever used but have read great results with used with the can fans.

Thats about it for now. I planned everything right except for the most freakin important part, PLANTS. I've got 7 in veg with 12 buckets so it's sadly gonna be a while before it's up and running. DUMB ASS ME :pointlaug

That' s going to be a wonderful room full of bud in no time :yoinks: :woohoo: great set-up. I also use the can filter but only the can-50 & 33 models. That can -100 is the one i'll probably get this fall when the 50 wears out. I also use a Daystar A/C hood & really like its 6" strait through cooling...bout as nice as my cooltube honestly. Again great set-up i can only suggest exhausting that hood air into the attic or somewhere out of the area ...sure makes my window ac work Much less. Maistre: Yes will be running some co2 this run I plan on simply running my co2 tube to the back of my fan the room is sealed and will caculate how long to run 3 times daily according to my room size. And yes I'm a pussy and store bought my setup. And any way now I got a controller and when the time comes will take it off and place in a 5 gallon controller bucket when I go up in bucket size once i get a handle on bucket growing. 3legdog: Yes the Daystar I felt gives a big bang for the buck. The a/c reflectors looked very cheaply made in person and the day gives a huge footprint expecially on a mover! I plan on going to the cool tubes a few runs down the road once I go to 2 or 3 lights and put the mover up in the attic and have stationary lights. Your garden looks fantastic by the way. SHOWOFF. :yummy:

Gotta love the home made ebb and flow for starting my girls. Thats a 125 watt floro and works very well for progration. One more week in here and I then move the whole tray rez and all into Bob and his 400 watt Hortilux blue for pre veg and then into the buckets for the 1000 watt Hortilux Blue for final Veg before flipping just like I've been saying and planning for and I must say It's starting to take shape and I'm very very pleased so far.

When I get permission From Dutch I'll say where these came from but have grown some in Bob in the past and simply cannot wait to kick these little girls into High Gear. Our water is said to be the best around ... comes out of an aquafer and doesnt have any additives. Actually never sees light till it comes out of our faucet. I think i owe it too the water to give this a shot. Great strains & how's that hortilux blue treatn' ya ? I recently got the 05' EYE Hort. lineup...flyer' with some really nice sounding/looking new EYE Hort. halides. Those Blue's look fantastic & have an incredible looking full range on the spectrum chart :woohoo: . I ll get a 250blue when time comes. Peace 3ld

Wow this bucket grow looks a whole lot like GrowerInShort's setup . Except for we are gonna grow trees not bushes:) Well it has the cleanliness of Gis's room and you know that is a very high compliment. Now if you can grow trees like Teresa's I would say it doesnt get much better then this. Or wow maybe a tree or six like Goldmembers. Wow you know we really have quite a group of growers to learn from round these parts. What a lucky bunch we are. I love the way the mrs. refers to it as the "white room". Looks like we are off and running ... this is gonna be great to watch my friend. Very nice setup. Ill be watching close as I figure the "chimney" is gonna want to keep up with the Wag's heheheh you know how this goes :) Think we are going to try a cpl new things when the outdoor is done and the heat goes away for a bit. Nice to see more bucket grows on the site. Boy, i really love your setup and can't wait to see how those Trainwreck deal with growing in those buckets. I'm also planning on a bucket grow like yours down the road some. My grow will be about the same setup, but i'll be using the bucket to harvest large amounts of seeds. 12 buckets and a few 600HPS Digital ballast setup, but most of the light will come through the Greenhouse they will be in. Well, can't wait to see the rest of your grow. Sure is going to be a very nice harvest your going to have.

Can you guys and gals believe how freakin fast these baby's are growing. I gotta flip these at 2 - 2 1/2 feet since I only got 6 1/2 feet of upper room before I must starting bending over and tying down. I have another thread as a test grow over in the female seeds section per my agreement with the fine Ferry and the Female Seeds Team and I said in their earlier that Teresa A.K.A "Tree Girl" doesn't top and here grows are Legendary Redwoods so I won't either. Well as promimised it's our sunday update. I just changed rez and am running at about 1400 ppm now (pbp,silica blast,liquid karma,cal-mag and hydro guard). I'm gonna flip to 12/12 on Thursday. I only put in 20 gallons of water and at this point they drink a gallon a day sssooo on Thursday I'll dump in 5 gallons of water with the pure blend flower run that for a week to introduce the 2 and then do a flora kleen flush and go to straight flower nutes (I hope you come back to read this TK cause you taught me well).

Oh and Babba movers are the way to go it is incredible what they have done in only 21 days even the special skunks are 8 inches high everyone one else is between 20-24 inches,I only waited long enough to take some cuts off of the special skunks.

Blatant I had a long talk with Bob and explained to him that his time is coming, once I fill my cloner with 20 nice cuts he's onna be needed BIG time in less than 14 days with a 2 month run to pre veg our girls for the next run!

WoW MrWags, you babies are doing really well. Sorry i haven't been around much. Been out of town and ended up in the ER before i came home. All is well though and i'm fine. Glad to hear that the water timing is working well for you. It only takes alittle change in Hydro to fit a problem and i'm glad to see it worked. Getting ready to start my system, once i'm up and running from my ER visit. Should be in about a week. I'll post a thread of DIY for other to follow. Step by step of the Ebb&Flo style system. Well all it has been a long hard month. It has been simply amazing to see before my eye's the growth rate in buckets with a single bulb. I have as stated mixed in 5 oz of Pure Blend Flower to the mix and let that run for a week and will soon be doing a good flush and going to flower nutes only very soon. The clones are cut and under my getto fabbed cloning chamber and have since enclosed the intake fan to keep out any light leaks and here are this weeks shots. Hope everyone is doing well in your world.

This is the veg room mean mustard. As you can see I have a vortex fan sucking air up into my getto box which cover the window fan I've installed in the wall.

:wave: Sweet set-up mrwags, I built my own "Hybred" NRD Multi-flow, I'm very happy with mine and so simple and inexpensive to, I still need to go full E&F with it but will in a few months, 30 buckets now...adding 18 more buckets in the next few weeks to get 48, then the controller and res, got the hydtron and res already.

Good morning MrWsgs, hey do you get in there and trim at all or anything or is just on auto pilot at this point? I can see it might be a bit difficult moving around in there, isnt that a great thing! The rate of development is awesome, im growing in dirt right now and things move a bit slower than hydro, allthough im not the best dirt farmer either.

Well I've been feeling a little blue with the flu so decided to take a few days off and tend to the garden (our girl's were telling me they were feeling a little dirty) so it was time to CRAWL around moving buckets to clean out from under the skirts. MAN what a view. :yummy: Inspired my the Babba's pic's I decided to play with a few camera settings to see if I could maybe walk in the shadows of the greatest garden on God's green earth. So with that in mind I might add BOB was getting a little lonely and wanted some attention on his hard work for the next round of Home Grown Goodness.

I gotta say these new EZ-Clone Copy nozzles are the BOMB.

well it has been a long long week. Spent 4 days in bed solid sweating and sleeping and sweating some more. But with the love I recieved from you folks made the week a little easier. The smell in the room is now overpowering even with the big ass can running like a jet engine I still need to get a Vaportek. I will post some more tomorrow but we still got atleast 3 weeks left and all is STILL going well.

I am setting up a copy cloner and I saw those heads on a site that was cheap (in my standards) for the cloner i am making. A great Now banned member turned me on to something called bubble disc for airation in the rez tanks. They come a big as 5 inch disc and work very well to get bubbles to the stem to get them roots going like this:

I'll dig up the link and shoot ya a pm. I think they were about 6 bucks a piece but work better then the sticks or the tubes by far. oh your gonna love these nozzles.

hi Mr Wags, how r u.....
i just wanna know about the Ez rollers and the light mover.... I was going to go with a mover and EZ rollers(I use EZ rollers in the veg room now, theyre great) for the flower room, but the growshop chap seems to think i will have a problem with the reflectors swinging when the mover comes to the end of the ine and stops....Have you foubd this to be the case at all mate??? He suggestedusing the ez rollers to hoist the whole lightrail up and down...as the rail isnt heavy and the rollers could take it....

PS this grow kicks arse mate....... certainly kicks my little bubblers arse anyway

Well it's Sunday and hope all had a great week. I know of a few who have not and have pm'd them accordingly to help assure the love is here if needed. well not much to report other than the fact the girls have almost stopped drinking up the nutes (it's about time) The rez is now about 1410 ppm and the girls are just now starting to get those fat bottom's we love all to well. I was amazed that these did not stretch muck at all maybe being able to keep the light so close helped with this but the buds are EVERYWHERE and cannot wait for a good 2 week flush 48 hrs dark and the the MASSACRE that will more than likely take a day or two. How do U like the female seeds???? I was gonna go with some of there nl.. 2 But a friend told me to that it was to riskey. As far as hermies go. My mother room is in the same building as flowering on same vent sys. And he said there prone 2 hermi. And I didnt want 2 risk the pollination of a whole flowering room..??? What are your experiences as far as stability goes on your stock from Femaleseeds?????

Hey wag, just reading up on the thread and checking things out. Was wondering which of the Fem strains are yielding the most. If i'm right, your running the Northern Lights and Skunk strain from the Fem line. Both look awesome, but it looks to me like the Skunk. Which of the two do you think are going to yield the best? Nice setup and plants are just loving it. Can't wait to try my first run with a bucket system. Keep up the awesome job and take care.

I've been eyeing them, but i'm thinking about getting some and giving them a try sometime. Their GrapeFruit has alot of C99 in it and i'm guessing thats how they yield well. Sounds like this company gots their stuff together.

BG I gotta say switching to these beans have made my life very very simple. Sprout plant grow kill smoke. Just the way we need it. Yes the skunks to yield very well but I must say the White Widow's are suprising me and will have atleast 8 of these in the next run, I gotta post some quick for now,my pride and joy aced her test's so our deal requires a few trips to the mall and off to the movies to pay up on my end. Hope all is well in your world's and will post some more later after the payoff.

As you can tell the final flush has caused major swelling making most sag. You gotta love that. With the light being sealed and sucking a/c air has enabled the light to be kept close causing ROCK HARD DENSE FAT BUDS. One more week one more week damn it to hell one more week. :bat:

Man I gotta Say Wow. Wow to all the love that has been shared on this thread. And it even brought out my good ole pal SmokeIndica. How you been old friend. Glad you could find me. Now Texas Kid (who no matter what he say's will always be MY Mentor!) taught me the fine art of Pure Blend and patience and the ability to sit and watch your girls and let them tell you what they want and oh let's not forget the fine art of cloning the ability to continue life. I'm sorry but that was the greastest lesson of all TK and with Buckets of Bud in my room and love in my heart I hope your recent day's have gotten better and can only say as I have said before TRUST YOUR HEART. Where ya at TK?

Now to the rest of you who will be thank name for name in the end,I say can you freakin believe what we did. The bad news it's all most over,the good new Their still growing day by day they sag even more I got string everywhere but the constant sway with the fan (six week 2) made for a good thick base to support our girl's.

Now what's in store for the next go round? I think I wanna have both room's veg & flower at the same time. Fill up BOB Fill up the Buckets and go like hell. I'm guessing the cold winter temps will be much easier to maintain the conditions we all like so well.

The trics are still turning Amber about 10% it's going slow but the leaves still got some life to give so we will see whats happens this weekend.

Well all the day has finally come. :woohoo: After 48+ hours of darkness I got down IN THE DARK and cut these girl's Like A Thief In The Night with this:

I felt cutting in darkness would keep ALL the starch in the roots were it needed to be. They never saw it coming trust me it was quick and clean.


So after the cut I hung and sat back and reflected over the past few months and I must say WE ALL should be proud of this first run folks. It all went damn near the way we planned it. All the love that this little dream brought upon it self only show's what a wonderful family we have here at ICM and I will thank each and everyone of you when the smoke report roll's around in the week's to follow. I hope you all want to see some pic's because I went a little crazy. Only being able to share here make's me want to post video.

Well the girl's have been hanging around for about a week now and must say my new fangled High Tech dryer kicks the old school hang and dry Hands Down! The Nl as always was sweet and clean with that workable high. Easy in and as you exhale you can kind taste the sweetness in the smoke. Buzz is strong for about 2-3 hours. Good Yielder 8 Nice High 7

The Special Skunk was to say the least the biggest producer next to the WW we will get to these girls in a little bit. All the buds and colas were covered in red hairs and very very sticky. The taste was not the normal WHO HIT THAT skunk smell but half way through a big log and you know whats about to come. VERY Hard head buzz lasting up to 3-5 hours depending on the size.
HUGE YIELDER 10 Great BUZZ 8

Now for the Widow. ASS kicker amazing smoke. I bent 2 of these over at about 4 weeks 12/12 and ended up over 6 foot tall with big fat long dense sticky mouth watering colas EVERYWHERE. This is a sit on your ass and drool buzz. Very Clean in and out but once exhaled you can feel the buzz actually sit in.

Oh and what can you say about Female Seed's seeds being all girls all the time?
