Hello, and sorry if this is a noob question, i just got my first waterfarms today, and will be looking to clone some K2 , and some WYD i have started.

now, i've cloned plants before, but that was using soil, so i pretty much just snipped em, dipped the cutting in some anti fungicide / rooting hormone and stick em in the dirt.... now i dont have dirt =P

The cuttings are obviously not going to just "stick" into my clay balls. ( or will they? ) So, what do i need in order to successfully cut my mother, and root a clone so that i can easily transfer it to my hydro system? Preferably without any transplant style root contact.

is rockwool what i'm looking for? or is there some type of product that would be safe to root a cutting and just pile my grow rocks around and not have to mess around with it any more than that?

once again , sorry for the nooblatude.

My favorite thing to use are grow plugs. The most popular brand is probably General Hydroponics "Rapid Rooters". They come 50 to a tray, and you can root them in the tray. You should be able to find them in any hydro shop.

I use a arocloner (home made) to do both sprouts and clones,,, just a tub with vinal tubes holding the stems i the lids,,,.. this has air tubes or stones inside.... use a timer on clones,, and i go 24/7 in my sprouts,, when they get enough roots i put them in the net baskets to veg & flower
