Would anyone have any suggestions for a good indica suited for the shorter BC summers. I find the indica helps my lupus pains enourmously. I usually have a clone source, but alas... not this year. I decided it would be great to try seeds again, but have no good outdoor seeds.... any help would be hugely appreciated, and rewarded.

How long do your summers last? You could try the Belladonna, it finishes in early October and is a true ass kicker!

I had almost the same problem a couple summers ago. For as long as I can remember, I've always grown a strain we called Maui or Maui Big bud. They always finished by mid. September the latest, but we used our whole seed stock last time and someone stole our crop. Damn theives, I can't stand people who steal. We had only took about 5 clones before they all went outside, and were waiting to pick some new males from outdoors, but they stole the fu*king males too. Stupid assholes. The 5 or so clones we had ended up dying anyway. The person I was doing it with had the clones at his house. He tried to make some soil mix that had everything the plants would need from start to finish(even though I was totally against it) and before I even got a second look at them, they all burned to a crisp from too much nutes. Let's just say that I was pissed to say the least. I worked on that strain for a long time, and there is no possile way I could ever re-create it. I would have to go to hawaii, and try to find the strains again. Never gonna happen. Even if I went there, I'd never find those exact strains again. :(
So, the past couple summers I've kind of been experimenting. I've basically been trying any strain that's available at the time. Well, anything but those almost pure sativas. Last summer I grew C99, G13HashPlant, NLflo, Skunk#1, Leda UNo(I'll nver grow that again), Spontanica(never grow that again either), and Mantanuska Tundra. The MT was my favorite from last summer I think. Great high. It made me real creative and real talkative. The C99 was great too. The yield was unreal. I have basically the same growing season you do, and minus the pure sativas, I've found with the right care most strains will finish. I just give my plants a good head start. I usually start getting everything ready around the end of april or so and I put the plants outside at about 2ft tall give or take. Then I just slam em with bloom after a couple weeks, and if something is taking too long, I force it to flower, using bags or boxes.
Sorry for rambling on here. I wish I could be of more help. I would have loved to send you some of the Maui Big Bud. I do have a very slight chance of getting some seeds from a friend who I gave 200+ seeds years and years ago. He is coming back into town in a couple weeks and said that he might have some seeds of my cross. He wasn't sure though and said he had to do some searching. I really stressed how much I want the seeds, so hopefully he'll find some. I got my fingers crossed. If I do get them, I'd be more than happy to send some your way. If I am lucky enough to get this strain again, I want to pass out as many seeds as I can so I don't have to worry about losing it again. All I;d want is for you to send some seeds back to me, and pass them out to a couple other people. Shoot me a PM in a week or 2 and I'll let you know what happened. Again, i wish I could be of more help, but I'm still looking for another strain/s as perfect as my maui was for our outdoor grow season.
