I am growing some GrowDoc's Angel Dust. This strain is supposedly an IBL and the males show preflower very early during veg. I popped 5 of these seeds, and 4 showed male in about 3 weeks. Full on thick bunches of nanners.
The one that did nothing during veg is for sure fem, and is in flower.

Only one of the males popped open and released any pollen during the veg. And the one that did, started at day 26. I collected some of it and painted some SSH phenos and a thazexsk1 with it. Every site is full of seeds in the make, so it was viable pollen. I then destroyed the AD male.

I kept the most vigorous of the males, and put it into an isolation flower chamber. After just a couple of days 12/12, I had pollen from the kept male.
But, after a few more days, that very nice male went full on hermie. The top buds and a few surrounding have definite pistillate formation.

Here is my quandary...
I suspect the female to be a true female, or at least not hermie prone.
I also suspect that since only one male shot pollen the whole time in veg, that it may be the only true male of the bunch.
I destroyed the others, but the one I kept did not produce any pollen during veg, and went hermie during flower. I suspect it was a hermie from the start, but I don't know if it is a male hermie or a female hermie. (shrug)
I can't figure out if I am on the right path with this thing...

I also wish I knew what it was that made these things autoflower males only.

*some afterthought...
I think that the hermie male will produce male seeds if it self pollinates. Yes?
And if it produces fem seeds, then it would confirm which side of the hermie dominated. (???)
