Hi guys. I didnt post my grow in the micro grow area but now I wish I had. This is the perfect place for the setup. I am growing in a 16 cubic foot tent that measures 2x2x4 under 252W of LED (2x 126w HG LEDs) W CO2. I really am enjoying my Micro grow. It has a lot of advantages. You guys really are on to something. I think LED's is the perfect technology for these types of grows. I dont know if I could have done this in this space with an HPS. The strains are both 9 week strains. White Widow and Carnival.

Wow, very cool grow. I also believe that LED's will be the way of the future for these grows, but at this point in time, I'm not 100% convinced that LED's are good enough yet. I think much more research has to be done in terms of the correct wavelengths that our plants need. I've been looking into building led boards myself, but as I've said, there's no tried-tested-true way to select the correct wavelengths yet not to mention LED's with high enough wattage/output are still very expensive. Your LED grow is looking damn good though, thumbs up to that =).

I totally think you could have done this with HPS though, the grow I just finished was done with a 150w hps in 4.3 cubic feet of space =)

Keep us updated, I'll be watching =)

If your going to build LED panels to make money you have to start while the market is new. You cant wait for others to do all the research and then cash in because they will have already beat you to it. 150w HPS would be the biggest light I could put in here without venting. If I tried putting in a 600 in here it would get way too hot. I figure I would need at least 600w to get the same results.

yeahhhh, I don't want to make led panels for sale on the market, I want to make them for my own use :p That's why i'll wait =).

ahhhh then yes that is the best time to make them. Sorry misread the question. When I say I wouldn't be able to do it with HPS I don't really mean total yield. I still don't know how that will turn out. I have seen HPS grows at 34 days with amazing looking buds but im so impressed with how thick they are at the base of the stems that makes me think these things will really bud up thick. I say a 600w light because that would be about what the claimed output of two of these lights.

Sorry totally misunderstood the statement. That sounds like a fun DIY if your into stuff like that.

Thanks for checking them out. I started this journal in the main area but its really a micro grow and I should have started it here.

Looking good. LED grows may very well be the future of micro. Still too new for me. I'll let you folks test em out. Good work, I'll keep an eye on it.
