are you kidding me, that's amazing. how did you make that? that's awesome, thumbs up !!
i dont like smoking out of metal but that is so nicely done and a cool idea
cheers, its made using a lathe and mill, all the rest is done by hand.
tell the truth all the planning is the bit i really love, you get stoned and your mind wanders...you never know where your brain takes you.:joint:

Is it brass? Any pictures of the process or of it taken apart?
What kind of other stuff do you make?

Reminds me of this kind of stuff...

This website is a great browse even if you're not stoned.

thanks alaskan, that gun looks great... please tell me more.
my gun is solid brass, i dont have pictures of the process but will post a couple of picks of the machines involved, i will also take pictures of it taken apart and tell you more about the inner workings.
as for other stuff ive made, there are some but not smoking related, ill put a pic for you.
ive also got a plan drawn out for a gyroscope that rotates in two directions at the same time. i just want to see if it falls over.LOL
i try to post in the next couple of days..

Awesome, looking forward to that stuff...
I don't know anything about the gun I posted other than how it's described on that site. I didn't know there were people that did that stuff until I found that site, and forgot about it until I saw your piece.
There's a section for tiny functional engines and stuff too - definitely an inspiring piece of internet.

Sorry about that, back on topic...

If you cover most of the bowl area and really pressurize the chamber you can get the smoke to make a sweet slow vortex/stream, or make thick waves of it that roll around like water.
I wish I still had something to put in it...

this is under the chambers and it allows a ball to click into place as you turn the barrel.

Bud Toaster Model 13 Version 5-4

Bud Toaster Model 13 Version 5-4

Here it is ... 400°F in the palm of my hand ...

picture.php

The newest version of the Bud Toaster reports for duty and enters service:

Now for a visual tour of this model:
Front:
picture.php

Back - i have a fit and trim issue to work out where the cable exits the body:
picture.php

Bottom - alignment issue -- cherry is so dense the drill bit won't go straight:
picture.php

Top and looking into the oven tube:

Bottom perspective:

Top perspective:

i haven't really finished the cherry to the desired level of sanding and polish -- just took off the rough and sharp edges.

If this truly is the production prototype i should be able to make a dozen of them. Should be an interesting week.
