Floramite...

So, I have used Floramite in the past with great success. 1 spraying and that was that. Somehow ( I suspect new houseplants and high temps) I have a sudden infestation. I sprayed them 3 days ago, very, very thoroughly. So, now, all the adults are dead, but the eggs are hatching. My question is, should I spray them again? I was under impression Floramite was active for 28 days (that's what their website says). Also, I bought it about 9months ago in 1 oz bottles from ebay, wondering if it could have gone bad?

Thanks, as always

If you sprayed thoroughly no need to follow up but some recommend it. Whenever I used it was only 1 application. Yes the residual activity should last 21-28 days. It has not gone bad if it has killed the adults and should have a longer shelf life than 9 months anyway. From what I understand it is not an ovicide (kills eggs).

Here is the quote from their website

"Flormite is primarily active on the motile stages of mites, but also has ovicidal activity against spider mites (Tetranychus species)."

I just checked again, the lil hatchlings are just cruising around having a good ole time....I guess I will wait to see if they die from ingesting the leaf?

So, it will have been 4 days today since the 1st spraying. The adults are def. dead, but there is def. a very large hatch happening. Anyone got some ideas? Should i spray again? Should I spray with Avid, to mix it up? Thoughts?

Thanks

Well I stand corrected on the ovicide thing. When I've used Avid with Floramite it was always Avid first, wait a few days, then the Floramite. Since a long residual I'd think the 1 treatment should be fine. If you spray heavily with Avid will for sure get the mites but most likely accelerate the breakdown of the Floramite or rinse it off some. Will work to get rid of em though.

i was told to spray and then spray again 3 days later. works for me. if you keep using the floramite they will become immune. our group of growers use floramite then avid 3 days later, or the other way around.

The Hi Yield Sticker/Spreader made some of the growing tips curl up like fert. burn, but I think I wiped them out...hopefully the growing tips bounce back..jeez

So, lets see, I def. still see lil ones here and there, nothing like before, and there are def. still eggs. Does anyone know if the eggs hatch, and then die after digesting the tissue of the plant that has been sprayed? I don't want to spray them again, cause the sticker/spreader really fucked them up...Thanks
