well, a lot of folks have seen this strain in a couple threads, but i think she deserves one of her own. J1 is a strain that came to us from norcal, originating in holland. she is a cross of jack herer and skunk#1. a very fun strain to grow, it is hard not to sit next to her and just staaaaaarrre. very nice sativa buzz. gets you very high, without ending in a nap. the aroma and flavor are top shelf. first couple runs she smelled very much like original gatorade, but as we have got her dialed in she has taken on a much hazier aroma. if you ever have a chance to grow her, you will fall in love!

wow, surprised I never heard of this strain before, looks very frosty!
Is it a clone only, or are seeds available?
Good work, and thanks for sharing.

chief-thanks. she is super frosty and skunk def added yield, she doesnt yield huge, but very solid chunky cola buds.
--thanks hazeseeker. she is sumpin!
---superzero-i had never heard of her either, and if it hadnt been for the word of the guy who turned me on to her, i dont know that i would have been interested enough to devote as much time to her as i have. glad he was persuasive. it is a clone, it is making her way round socal now, and hopefully will spread further!

Haha...had to sign back up to chime in on this thread. I wish peeps could know what those buds smell and taste like . For sure very unique as Spicoli has said. She's one of my all time favorites and yes uber sugar coated. Smoked her almost exclusively for about 2 years...definitely one of those crowd favorites. Simply a fantastic pheno!

Sub - you did a great job with her last time and those pics rock. Yup..for sure a touch more hazy. Was great checkin in with ya and a bit was set aside for next time I see the man. Glad she worked out for ya!

Yo Sub...here's a few more pics to add from some ooooold threads of mine I had to retrieve from other places. It's taking all the will power I have not to smoke the rest of the J1 in the jar and save it for some other peeps...LOL.

Here's an AN/coco grow where I had more ceiling height...

Here's the photo I was looking for which shows the Jack Herer roots in this cross...then plumped up by the Skunk addition...

Not funny bro cause I had to go re-register at a few other sites to dig up some of those pics...brings back some very good memories though! Was no problem really and glad you gave me a reason to organize the better pics I've taken over the years in one thread. I still yet have to try some Schrom!

Here's another pic I found for Dan Woody talking about those long sativa buds...yes more J1 stuff but from yet another grow I did...I didn't realize she would do this if I just let her go wild until after the fact so had to improvise with the strings...lol

You can certainly see some of the jack in the bud structure.. I've never heard of this strain, but you make it look, and sound really yummy... Keep up the good work Subrob:rasta:
