...yeah....would be nice to be 26 once again.....used to get a terrific buzz from pumping iron back in the day.....I was usually buzzed already anyway....good weed and a good workout always seemed to work for me...

These days I have too many injuries.....worn parts to really go gung-ho in a gym.....so I take much gentler forms of exercise....

Does it count if I say that I benched 320lbs for 6 reps back in 1986?

Absolutely....Glory once tasted is glory still, only sweeter...is it not ? :D

I haven't done anywhere near a max push in years either man, I'm just and an old dude *wink*wink* tryin' to keep up with these wipper-snappers.

320 is not too shabby at all, the most free weight I benched was 345.....Squats/legs and back were always my strength though.

I'm a bit of a freakish Mesomorph.

I can dead lift a 12 oz. beer bottle and do 20-30 reps before I fall down!

i maxed my bench at 360 once...
i repp'd 225 x 26 times...

bench is kinda silly though. when are you ever gonna need to push a refridgerator off of you? i liked cleans (full cleans w/the front squat) and squats personallly....

Did 400 pounds squat at 115 pounds soaking wet and broke the high school record in my weigh class.Someone broke it the next year by 10 more pounds.I could have done more but the wood was collapsing under me where i was standing-squatting.

Did 275 Bench,goal was to do 315 for a few Reps...till I met a girl..Ya know how that is!

Oh well....... Weigh close to 200 pounds now with 17% bodyfat.

I'm a late bloomer like my Weed !!! Hell..didn't even start shaving Till I was 27 years old.

I don't like to lift unless I'm high...and, I don't count a lift if I don't pause at the bottom...

In the day, I was working out with 200 lbs bench...and I was only 160-- I did extreme workouts...and was cut as fuck!!
These days, it is like Gypsy said...too many worn out parts...:noway:

i can bench 195 lbs about 5 times. i only weigh 135 so i think thats pretty good. i never do the 1 rep max thing, cuz i think u get a better workout when u just push as hard as u can on the last set. 1 rep doesnt do shit but boost your ego. imo, plus u risk tearing something.

325 in the old days, single lift of course. I could do reps
of 225-240 lbs but only singles in that 300+ class.......

many of my friends power lifted and drank those protein shakes
that were likely early steroidals, those guys did lifts of 425-450.

I'm 6'1 -220. Never tried a max as long as I can bench my body weight 10 reps I'm good. Haven't lifted anything heavier than my girls thighs in a while though...

Not sure about my one rep max but my current record is 225x12 on flat bench. Have only been lifting for a little over a year.

I actually prefer dumbbells over barbells. Bench pressing tends to hurt my shoulders and all my friends have bad rotator cuffs so I'm kinda paranoid about it. I'm currently incline pressing with 85lb dumbbells for 12 reps.

Good to see we are not all lazy stoners. :)

Yeah these days I have bad joints......shoulders flare up if I try to lift too much.......my knees keep giving me grief.......ankles ain't a pretty sight neither........and my back slips a disc if I try to over-exert......I wish I was a car and could just go and buy and fit spare parts off the shelf.....

.....so I just try to take it easy.......and realize that I am almost half a century old.....

I can bench more than 200 and I weigh less than 200... my strength however has nothing to do with weight
