im starting a grow in part of my outside shed/ area is 4x4x7
i have a window a/c
a 400w digital mh/hps cooled hood/ with glass
465cfm dayton blower
i also have a c02 tank and regulator dont know about using this yet

ok i have the dayton hooked up to my light pulling air from the room thru the light and exhausting outside/adding a filter later on.
since i have a/c should i seal off the light/pull air from outside thru light than outside?
and doing it this way how do i add a filter?
please give me your suggestion on how you would use this equipment.
thank in advance

I would pull air from outside through your lights and then back outside.

IMO, if you pull air from inside the room you will have your fan pull all your cold air out that your a/c in making.

You don't need one on the light cooling system because the system is sucking and exhausting non-odorous outside air.

The air inside your shed is a different story. Unless you are using co2, you need a constant supply of fresh air in the room so you would need to install a separate ventilation system for the shed. Your odor control (filter) goes on the shed ventilation system.

It sounds like you have all the gear for a sealed room/co2 op. If high temps are a problem and you want to maximize cooling efficiency, plus get bigger yields, co2 would be the way to go.

Also, that fan of yours is kinda big for your application. I had a 400 watt with a 4" Vortex (around 150 cfm) and it stayed plenty cool. You might want to consider a speed controller to cut down on electrical usage and noise.

Yes, but the air it blows out it sucks from outside, it just recycles and cools the air inside. At least thats how i understand it
If I'm wrong,correct me plz

no thats right about the ACs

just know they arent 100% sealed.

some of them have a little lever you can move that opens a vent to bring in air from outside.

According to your diagram, you'd be heating your mother/clone room. Why would you want to do that?

You have a basic misunderstanding of ventilation. You really should read some of the many threads on how to vent your grow area, get a basic understanding of what how things work, then ask specific questions.
