I sure hope that this is what they really are.
All that matters is A)if that shit gets you high, and B)buying those seeds & growing it is cheaper than the dealer will charge you.

You may wanna consider cutting your losses and chopping those girls and get the environment dialed in. You can always give TW another run--trust me on that one

-VT- You think it would be about time to chop these? I am not sure, the trics are getting to the point of being mostly cloudy now. I don't want to screw this up as I will only get one more grow in before I must move out of this place and onto another.

No, not saying they are ready (but they should be). A good grow can be better than two shitty ones. I don't know the economics of your show (food--energy--real estate)...I can tell from the pics your yield will not increase dragging this out...you have to determine if it's worth the extra overhead
sometimes when plants are taking too long to finish, it's best to start over, making adjustments--either improving the setup, or trying a different strain(s)
With a 400W you'd be better off with LST (which is what I did my 1st harvest indoors--that is to say, I LST'd with a 400W & Trainwreck)....or topping for multiple tops

They sure did stretch on you...wouldn't it be better to have that light shining on a tight, even canopy?

You just have to decide..it's your call

FWIW--I have lost several crops and had every imaginable problem. I have killed hundreds of plants and screwed up even more....hell, I'm impressed you kept them alive :D You'll get more intuitive and such with experience

peace

Well the girls got chopped down yesterday afternoon. They got chopped at day 60, alittle later than what I have heard others taking them at. For a few days before I used straight water to flush for three days while decreasing the amount of light by one hour less per day and harvested when the lights were on a 7/17 light schedule. The buds got noticeably fatter and more covered in crystals. Overall I am happy with this harvest being my first serious grow.

Here are some pics:

cellardweller - Thanks for the compliment.

snowman06 - Also thanks for the cab compliment, I found it the same day as harvest just down the street from my place. Someone had placed it out for the trash so I grabbed it, washed it, and filled it with sweet green.

great grow... i think your style is good... maybe try some different genetics. trainwreck isn't a great yielder especially without a huge veg in my experience. not sure about ghs trainwreck. looks like you made out well enough to me!

yssb - Thanks for the good word and I as well am now finding I too love the trainwreck.

SuperLarry - Thanks for the compliments to the style. I am planning to start up new genetics in august, but for now I am using the system with one ghs Trainwreck clone off on the these last plants. I am trying to aggressively top/fim this clone and it is working out great, been vegging for less than two weeks and was put into flower this morning. I am going to make a posting for this new plant as well.

hi basement - always love checking trainwreck grows. have to say i agree with mojojojo and marijuanamat - what you have isnt 'pure' trainwreck but very possibly a cross. i have to say that your harvested pics look alot more like trainwreck than the actual plants... your hanging buds could pass as the arcata cut on a line. there is the woodhorse strain like marijuanamat posted - and there is the arcata cut

Trainwreck - Arcata cut, Flower Day 45

-VT- is also completely right. doesnt matter that's not pure trainwreck. im sure it's a good cross and will be great smoke. how did the room smell before harvest, and during the trim? trainwreck smells like lemony, piney, methol, petrolium. very distinct.

good 1st grow :) btw, the Arcata cut of Trainwreck is a 70 day strain. i've grown it 65 days with decent result and still stony smoke... and i've taken her close to 80. 70 is the sweet point... i dont feel any reason to take her longer, and i dont think id ever pull her before 70 again unless i had to

cheers!

Not really sure on the yield exactly sorry I wish i did. Never got around to putting it all through the scale but I did end up with 6 Mason jars full for the cure. I know not very scientific but its all I got. I really wish I would have got the weight but i wasn't that concerned with it at the time, I was more excited to have got a successful grow down and all i wanted to do was enjoy the work. I am going to be finishing up the second grow here soon and i will definitely be weighing that crop so I can start trying to record them.
