I was able to secure a pack of NY Amsterdam Sour through a friend who is visiting Spannabis. I have seen only @badass-eu 's grow of it and would like to have a little bit more info before I start to dwell in...

Presumably it's a 11-12 weeker, so I'd suspect that it's a bit on the stretchier side, but it would be handy to know how much it grows in size during flowering (when left untopped) - does it triple, or quadruple, even?

And is it possible to some find some "fresh tennis ball" or "burnt tire" phenos from this one? And if it is, how common they are?

I would account for about a meter in stretch, independently of how tall they already are.
The sowahh will be stretching for easily 5-6 weeks.

Give them a low Nitrogen and high Calcium Magnesium Potassium (K) finish.
I personally like to keep my sours a bit root bound, in 1gal pots, and get tighter frostier nugs.
Although at the expense of yield.

Regarding your other questions, I guess you're just gonna have to pop some mate.
Those profiles are definitely in there, more on the JJ side I reckon.

Hey fam,

First time posting anywhere. Started growing 2.5 years ago after I went through the end of a failed marriage/ relationship of 10 years. Had some amazing brothers pick me up and point me in the right direction. Now I grow in living soil beds, 4'x4' and 3' diameter. Saved my life in so many ways.

Didn't think I would get my hands on Sowaah seeds.. was running any crosses available in NA with that in it. Through Oldman green () I got one pack, felt like a miracle. Was running it at the same time as the Macv2 beans which had terrible germ rates. Ended up with 3 males and 1 female and paid $200 for the Macv2 10pack... So I took a chance on making my own seed stock using the best looking male of the 3 and crossed it naturally(grew male in same room, same bed as females). There were three beautiful KG Sowaah Moms(referred to #4, #6, #7) all smelling like lemon and gas. The seeded herb still has so much flavor. #7 was the star per say, she was the tallest, and fattest of the bunch at day 82 when I chopped.

Now I'm on week 6 with those seeds, Macv2 x Karmah Sowwah(#7). Think the male just led to more organized spear shaped buds, have 2 KG sowaahs in the same bed for comparison with the crosses and plant morphology is almost identical, plant size, leaf shape, timing in flower etc....Things I can see different is spear shaled buds. No herms on the Soawah mom's last run and no herms on the Sowaah crosses, 7 total running right now. The Macv2 F2s had 1/5 plants herm on day 35 and was pulled.

I share this for others looking to cross the sowaah in hopes of locking down their own seed stock. I'm not looking to sell anything or make any money, just want to join the conversation and share my journey and grow with you all. Nothing but love and support for @Karma G. His passion inspires me to want to grow sours for the rest of my life

Any tips on finishing the sowaah right? The leaf issues are from lamp burn lol still fight thr urge to crank that mother

quick update on this beautiful sowaah. day 50 and she is swelling and getting dense, stinking of lemon and gas. Cannot say how impressed I am with the repeatability in the seed pack I got. Out of 4 females so far(3 last round used for seed making) and 1 this round they are almost identical. As a small home grower this is what we hope for and rarely get

As for the crosses with the MacV2 there are two main pheno types. Two look like mama just smaller, they are on the edge of the bed and didn't get as much care but pumped I got progeny for life

There is another lady in the back corner who has the same appearance, just smaller, so it's in there.

MacV2 X KS7 #14. Even with a lil super cropping she doesn't herm

Now the mix of mom and dad is just a beauty for the other pheno, less white hairs at this point, just resin railed and these ones are taking on a earlier fade

AppleB dried & trimmed now in for the cure. I get a Biker smell, which is matched by some sweet spicy fruity stuff. Looks great thooou

She vegged very short and yielded right above 100 grams. Least of the 5 plants I grew, but vegged 3 weeks shorter. This can yield very good when proper vegged.

I've gotten best results when I've slightly root bound my sowahh and lowered the N to practically none, with high calcium, magnesium, sulfur, and potassium finish! They absolutely reeked after week 9/10. Also noticed they don't like being very close to the light. Hope that helps Rae

For ease of life away from the garden I'm running beds with 200+ gallons and haven't fed anything in the water the entire run just the Quijalla . Just top dressings and microbes. Last night they got hit with a bubble tea with ogbiowar, homemade labs, homemade barley sst, and a pinch of kelp.

Trichs are looking good with a few weeks to go.

I have auto water setup with blumat drip tape in each bed and cycle from 20mbar to 150-200ish.

question for the experienced, when do you stop feeding?

So first world problems, i need more gear from Karma. But i thought before i do buy a ask you guys?

I know, its personal preference and the way i see karmas gear u really cannot go wrong either way but why not ask?

Plan is: Grow out and maybe do F2's with them, if i like them. So i have more then enough for my self. U know the prices... Mango Lassi was dope, as hell! But not my terp for example, so i would dodge that.

First of all we do have:
Sherbiker - i could get a pack.. what ur experience or opinion? my fav to be honest
Banger Glue x Melon
Sweets
Where is my Bike V 2.0
Chem Tini
Punani Sour

All Regular, i dont fuck with fems anymore.

I Just finished my di frutti fems ....good Weed ...very Variation....a Lot of different phenos....which i Like....but i Had a few Hidden nanners and some seeds .....its hard to observe the Back of the tent.....thats why i Like to Put new plants in the Front of the tent .....but this time it was the Only way to get a full harvest. Shit Happens. This Is No complain .... After all good weed.....i rather stay away from fems in the Future ......

I'm in coco on 90% mineral feed, so I dont really stop. I might lower the EC a bit, but straight feed till the end.

Sour / Orange/Mandarine and Fruity.
Thats the 3 Terps i do search.

Got Slurricane from Ripper Seeds (Purple Punch x Do-Si-Dos) that was my favourite fruity strain!
100% Fruit bowl.
Something like that.
Aaand the question was did u grew out something from that list? If jes, pictures and how was it? Easy to grow etc. thats what i meant.

I'm more of a Sour Diesel / Chem.
Most I venture to otherwise are usually gelato/runtz types - creamy gas candy basically.

If you want Sour ----> Sour Diesel
Fruity? -----> Melon, Zizi, Zowah, Mango Lassi, and hybrids of those.

I've grown Crescendo from Ethos and that was straight sour pineapple.
I think orange/mandarine terps, when too much sour is expressed, simply turns into sharp pineapple.
For straight orange, go for mandarine cookies from ethos (R2 or R3 are super stable and easy) that stuff truly smells like orange, but only orange - to me it's quite sickening.

I've grown Sour Diesel bx2, bx4, Mochi Melon x SD bx2, Banger Glue - But mostly Sour Diesel bx4 Haha
The Sours are long flowering, more picky, but hella worth it. Easy? hm.... not really.
The hybrids tend to be easier, as they're less sativa-ish.
