Wild claims need wild proof. Some pictures of the seeds and plants would help with people's skepticism.
By just reading this it seems to me it's a scam but who knows right? Maybe the seeds are real and maybe the plants are true old school... it's just that these kind of stories are usually too good to be true.
So - pics or it didn't happen ;)

Cheers

I literally didnt come here to advertise anything, sell anything, just to show that these plants still live on.

And yes old seeds are very capable of still germinating, its done all the time.

I dont know why its so hard to believe someone somewhere saved some of the literal trillions of seeds contained in the millions of pounds of cannabis moved through and smoked in this country. Ive literally seens dozens of threads accross the internet of people growing seeds kept from the 60s and 70s.

If you dont want to believe what i have then just move on, i dont have the time or the energy to dedicate to dealing with people who jump to the attack instead of asking ANY questions.
Dont like it just move to the next thread.

If you think im spamming, and a liar then i guess go ahead and just report me. I dont care. I havent done anything wrong.

if you have questions, ask and i will be happy to answer as quickly as i can.

Ok, I'll bite! So, how do you know your dad didn't just put some random Mexi schwag from 2015 into an old canister that used to have some Lumbo in it until April of 1971? 😈

Looks great though, whatever it is.

I was one of them guys that thought putting seed in air tight containers and storing them in draws was a safe way to preserve seed and so were all my friends.

The seed stop germinating sooner than most think and you be lucky to get life from the seed after 10 years if not 5.

Lots of the old sativa line are still being grown but they survived because people made fresh seed and shared them round.

Perhaps a good way to gaining a little faith from all the doubters would be to share your methods for getting 30% germ rates from 50 year old seeds? Surely some of your accusers have old seeds that they feel are unviable but have yet to dispose of for one reason or another. If they can copy your methods and achieve what they believe is impossible then that should give your claims more credibility and if you do it just purely for the desire to help others save old strains without asking for anything in return then that should help others believe you are not as mercenary as they seem to think you are.

Frankly I'm a bit appalled by the reaction you're getting. I don't see where you've asked for anything more then for people to believe you're not lying. You did share some pics in your opening post so it's not as if you're making claims without some photographic evidence. It seems to me the sole basis for the criticism is based on the inability of others to do what you claim you've done (germinate some really old seed) which is why I encourage you to share your methods. Just because someone can't do what someone else claims to be able to do is not evidence of dishonesty, skepticism sure but at least give the person a chance to prove themselves, you just might end up learning something and if not, what have you really lost?

This thread is spam…& perfect example how gullible people can be…. Old strains that continue to circulate have only been preserved through continual breeding and reproductions, not originally grown from 52 year old seeds , it just doesn’t happen , it never has and never will …show me the bonafide documentation where one single person in the entire history of marijuana cultivation has successfully grown marijuana plants from authenticated 52 year old seeds … and I’ll believe it;) and humbly eat my words … thank you

This is my point … what he’s describing is everybody’s cultivators dream , and it’s spam it’s for profit , he’s preying upon other peoples gullibility and I find that offensive… at least he could’ve come up with a better story than finding them in his father’s wooden box I mean come on how many times have y’all heard that story? please this is bullshit and I’m calling it out… sorry

Uh, i have seen over 80% germ on twenty year old seeds. Freezer method, but 'moved' across country several times in cooler. Have also had a TERRIBLE time trying to germ one year old seed from outdoor grown equatorial-types or near equator. Wondering if the sativas crack easier after more time. Hmmm. (also, no real advanced methods, usually just soak and stick in dirt/mix)

I’m not wasting another breath in this thread , but do yourself a favor and run a search on this guy ..go ahead and make the rounds on various social media platforms (on Instagram & Facebook and his own website) …and you’ll see what it’s all about… OK?

Not true at all. Classic of classic seeds died left me a bunch of seeds and i am getting close to 100% germ rates on seeds 20-50ys old. A few from the 60s several strains from the 70s. Columbians, Thai,Mexicans, bunch of africans ,korean skunk,RKS,lime skunk, old humboldt purple and green,Dr.Atomic Stuff rezz dog stuff old Chemo, BSHW etc..

He kept the seeds in small bottles stuffed w cotton in a freezer that wasnt frost free. He said do not use frost free feezers. I just sent a bunch of african seeds to kagyu(coastal seeds) some 30 or more yrs old we see what kind of germ rates he gets.

This just a few.. vitamin bottles are full of the small brown bottles

Y'all are making me doubt the 78 clone I just harvested. The lady I got the clone from was a first time grower, shes new to the culture and didn't understand the importance of old genetics. It's not that I think this lady wouldn't lie, it's more she wouldn't even know what lies to tell, she didn't know that old genetics aren't around anymore. She didn't even take clones of it until I told her how special it could be.
Her dad died 10 months ago, and she found his seeds in a wood box also. Film canisters and bags. She said about half the seeds germinated and half of those didn't survive.

I admit it's very possible that those seeds were not from 1978 and her dad just put seeds in an already labeled film canister.

I'm not taking up for the OP... I'm more worried y'all think I'm lying in my 78 thread. Lol. I was just growing what the lady gave me, old or not. Then again.. I'm not starting up a seed company
