1972. A friend's dad was in the military and his family had to move to Panama in 1970. Upon his return, two years later he brought a baggie back. Boones Farm wine now had a new friend!

I know people that said flower gets them paranoid and hash doesn’t. Back in the 70’s I thought that hash was more of a body buzz and flowers were more mental. They came from 2 different import regions.
Hash usually contains CBD while flowers don't and CBD is said to be good against anxiety and paranoia, so this makes a lot of sense.

From the about section of my website:

"I was born in the same state as Owsley Stanley, went to the same junior high and high school as Hunter S. Thompson, and I'm a Fugitive From Injustice. I first used cannabis in 1967 with some neighborhood kids while listening to a new album called Surrealistic Pillow. I felt a calm, warming sense of peace and happiness wash over me. I remember all my friends had the same smile on their face I did. I felt so happy. This was the beginning of my association with cannabis."

Not quite as good or succinct as "...growing up, I always wanted to be a gangster...," but I'm a blow hard Boomer and not Martin Scorsese and Nick Pileggi.:ROFLMAO:

In 1972 I was 12. Older cousin shared what he had, no papers so he used a motorcycle reciept to roll one up.
Shit was terrible harsh/gross, did not like it...got zero buzz.
Two years later we moved. At this new middle school I learned if you run faster than the teachers chasing you and you jumped the fence they stopped chasing you.
I kid you not on the other side was a graveyard with a guy on a harley sporster selling weed and about any other kind of drugs on the streets their was...qualudes, powder THC, blotter acid etc.
What a time...it was the early 70's...lotsa choices!
I tried quite a few, some were enjoyable others just made you ultra paranoid/weird feelings.(powder THC).
Thank God the truly addicting drugs were'nt in my circle of availability...I probably would have tried them.

I can't believe the Mexican crap we smoked back then. It took almost a whole joint for 2 to get high.

The high test genetically created today is unbelievable!

One toke and it's off to the races!

I was s stoner from 18-21. Then I had kids and a drug test job. At 45 diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
Fast forward two years and I am allergic to all things to treat it. Doctor suggested Cannabis.
I couldn’t afford the money to get the card or the weed either. Fast forward again New Mexico legalizes and decriminalizes cannabis. I bought seeds in Jan 2021. I planted inside March 2021. On June 1 2021 them puppies went outside. I started with 12 ended up with 4. I thought I had done enough research but was very disappointed with my grow. Them beans were as expensive as F. Next year found Herbies. Got more seeds. Half the price and 2 times the beans. Second grow was better. Joined The passion at the end of Aug 2023. Then I came here in Dec 2023. Grows and Here we are. There are threads for all my grows since. The latest one sour vengeance that was primarily documented on X as they were testers from a grower on X. That weed is really really good. I am so glad I met all of you that have helped me become a better grower. This was my garden that year. Those were northern lights. This was what I just harvested what a big difference

.most of the sour vengeance buds were the size of my palm. The small buds were even big for me. Way bigger than the NL. I have 2 NL growing now. One is in a 30 gal pot and is getting huge. The other is in a 7 gal pot. I may be culling it it looks sickly and small.

Started because it took the edge off of becoming a primary caretaker to an Alzheimer's patient at the age of 14
It was called advanced senile dementia back then
And dodging bullets and crack heads that came with the 80s
